TV shows that were cancelled too early?
 

Lord knows that TV is full of shows that have been left to go on for far too long but there have also been some shows that were cut down before they should have been.

What shows do you think were cancelled too early?

I will start by throwing Firefly into the pot as my first offering. It deserved more than one season for sure.

Not too many people here are going to remember (or have even heard of) this one, but it was way ahead of it's time; Crime Story

Deadwood........ I could not believe they ended it after only three seasons. :(

My 2 are HBO series:

Oz and Carnivale. I was so pissed about both of them ending.

Cheers ......... they could have gone on forever.
It was always funny.

It's sounding like CBC is too broke to do a season 2 of Wild Roses.... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

however that show was horrible

it was to heavy handed in the caveman = black man social commentary.

Did you get the book? It was pretty good episode guide and the way it was set as Augusta's journal was pretty cool.

No but I do spend most of the time watching Lost pointing out to my husband yet another person in it that was in Oz first...mind you, that is worse in Dexter.

I never really saw that much and then by the time I heard about it the show was gone.

I still find it more funny that any other show. People said by series 10 it wasn't as good. I didn't think so. I thought series 10 was one of the best actually.

There was still a few years left in that show...

Night Stand with Dick Dietrick(1995-96)

Mocking Jerry Springer-like talk shows, Night Stand was a fake talk show hosted by lovable, Dick Dietrick, played masterfully by Timothy Stack. Dick would bring on ridiculous guests and go into a plethora of even more ridiculous questions. A Springer/Ricky Lake- type show, the "Dick Dietrick Show" would bring on guests that not even fans of the entire "outrageous" talk show genre would want to see. Many of the themes had sexual overtones, obvious to everyone watching, except for Dick himself who would make comments that everyone else found explicit, but Dick himself thought nothing of it. Soon after he would scold the audience when realizing the sexual overtone, and say, "People, no....no."

Dragnet (2003) with Ed O'Neil and Star Trek Enterprise comes to mind...

Street Customs (West coast customs show on TLC)
Unique Whips (Unique Autosports show on Speed)
Million Dollar Listings (20 yearolds selling malibu houses)

'Vanished' and 'Traveler'
