incident in Mcdonalds drive thru ---- how close is our society to chaos and anarchy?

I just saw something happen in the Mcdonalds drive thru that made me think about the attitude of lawlessness that is getting more prevalent and how things could really fall apart for our society in a hurry if the economy were to crash and things actually did get tough like the depressions of old.

I was at the order sign and heard a small clunk as the guy in front touched the bumper of the car in front of him by accident. Within seconds the doors of the car in front flew open and 5 guys maybe around 18 to 20 years old piled out swearing and threw stuff at the car behind them and kicked his door and reached in and punched the guy a few times, then got back in their car and drove off, abandoning any order they may have made.

It was kind of shocking to see, but just made me wonder about people's sense of right and wrong and how to deal with your fellow man. Maybe the guy that got beat on a bit thought that it was better than the cops coming and getting him for rear ending them, but just the 5 youths reaction was so fast and violent it was scary.

This is why I carry a gun at all times. Even when not loaded, it quickly ends situations like this :)

carrying an unloaded gun is like carrying around a condom with a hole in it :2 cents:

a not loaded gun can end situations like this quick either because:

a) they get scared and run

b) they pull a loaded gun and...

And did you take down a plate number, give beat up guy your info, provide any sort of potential assistance at all?

didn't get the plate, my passenger was about to dial 9-11 as we watched in shock, but the whole thing happened right beside the window of the mcdonalds so the employees would have seen everything and I'm sure caught it on film, it was 15 yards in front of us and all happened in a blur of maybe 10 seconds, with the punches through the open window being at the end of it before they wheeled around and piled back in and drove off.

the guy drove up to the window a moment later so if he wanted cops he could have gotten it there or the mcdonalds manager could have called as well

no, I didn't jump out and yell at the 5 crazed chollos anything like "you wanna fight come get a piece of me instead!" if that is what you were asking :helpme :1orglaugh

the beat up guy appeared to get his burger order and drove off himself, so he was obviously not too badly beaten

I didn't want race to be part of the discussion because there are gangsta types of all races nowadays

I gave a clue with some slang in a previous post though

a gun can escalate situations like that. you pull out a gun, they pull out their gun, and it's game over for somebody. nobody pulled out a gun here and the worst thing that happened was a guy got bitch slapped.

I normally never go to Mcdonalds, but ended up there when a buddy was raving about how McDonald's business has gone way up with their hugely successful new dollar menu, so gave it a try and it was cheap and alright.

Then we got in a conversation about how if a person really hit rock bottom how you could survive on that dollar menu for $3 a day.

WHAT! NEVER brandish an unloaded weapon.

The only time you should EVER draw your weapon is if you intend on using it. Drawing an unloaded weapon can get you killed.

we are there...lack of education, intelligence and manners. third world "poors" and when i mean poors it's not just financially, only can get worse with each generation and cycle

i predict mass exodus from the us soon :2 cents:

something like that happened at deltaco last year here, over an argument - the guy went out and killed a kid by smashing his head on the curb, 17 years old

These dumb kids should get a good beating, not too difficult either, most of the wannabe gangster can't fight for shit.

The problem is guns. They disturb the natural order.

Nobody moves because what if they are armed? and if you are packing yourself is it worth all the trouble for a couple of kicks in a door and a few slaps? So nobody retaliates and these idiots feel untouchable.

Bring back fist fights, they'll get lynched and start thinking about it twice :2 cents:

I think the group mentality adds to the problem and their egos feed off of each other. That is kind of what shocked me the most about it, because a single person having road rage is one thing, but these guys moved so fast and instantly as a group in the attack, it was like an unrehearsed swarm that was over as fast as it started and then they booked it out of there.

When I'll be a real pimp I will carry a water-pistol filled with pure LSD and will use in cases like this. ;)
