****In case you missed my first attempt at writing webmaster articles! (PIXS)****
I know that not all webmasters read trade magazines so I wanted to share with you a few tips and tricks I have picked up over the years.
AS a webmaster myself i know its hard to calibrate the information so it pertains to everyone so I kept them really simple and straight ahead. The first one is called 10 Things You Need to Know About: Message boards http://www.klixxx.com/new/index.php?...84& Itemid=39 this month, I wanted to give everyone from the newbie to the seasoned board poster 10 tips to maximize your time spent on forums. 1. Pick a screen name/alias that does not represent the company you are affiliated with at the time. High turnover rates, new ventures and unprecedented opportunities may signify the need to alter your name/alias, which in turn means having to re brand yourself. Pick a name and stick to it, it is not to late. 2. Join dates and post counts DO have an effect on the response rate and quality of your replies. Join up and get active. 3. Introduce yourself to the moderator and owner of the board! It is not only a polite and professional thing to do, even in the online arena, but it can help in times of need. 4. Add an avatar and have a signature. These features are on the board for a reason. Take advantage of their existence to show off your personality, products and/or services. 5. Pick a handful of boards and focus on those rather than doing a shot gun approach. Discover the personality and vibe of each board, and hang out where it works for you. If you aren?t being received, then just move on! There are over 70 adult boards, and one is bound to mirror your personality. 6. Do not use the more popular boards as a ticket system or support forum for your favorite program. Contact your affiliate manager, email, instant message or check if they have a system in place. It is unfair to assume that your program lurks the board daily. 7. Do a little investigation to discover who are the board whores, haters and jokers. That way, you can filter out the people that will not move your venture in the right direction. 8. Give a little bit of yourself away in your posts. Some of my biggest affliates or business partners came to gather over a mutual love of music or particular hobby and not because we have the best or the biggest this or that. 9. ?None of the big boys read the message boards? is a common saying among webmasters, but after going to trade shows for the past 7 years, I can assure you otherwise. Something to think about... 10. Check people's signature spots (sig spot). Find out who they are and how you can work together. Add them to icq and talk it out. Contacts are powerful in the industry, so use them to your advantage. Message boards aren?t the end-all be-all of your adult online success, and some would even argue they have very limited use. However, with my tips tucked away in your arsenal, you can maximize the lost art of message board marketing. |

Thanks for taking the time to read it. I didn't expect this to get alot of views so its a pleasant surprise to see some of you reading it. |
Though to me it's all common-sense, I find more people everyday who are lacking that basic attribute. Thus, for them, I find your advice to be real solid and some of the members here should print the article out and staple it to their foreheads :winkwink:

10 Things You Need to KNOW about Buying traffic 1. Have a pre defined budget before you go in. This seems like a no brainer but I have seen too many people lose their shirts from UN monitored campaigns. 2. Last Minute deals- having money set away for last minute traffic deals are important. They come up when a client doesn?t pay or bails out last minute. They can be really good and I would hate to lose out on them. 3. Know the different types of traffic and how they convert. Banners, pop ups, pop unders, text links, exit consoles etc. 4. Deal with established players and if they are not do reference checks, do a search for them on message boards and ask for references 5. Track your ad buys don?t assume anything. Url tracking and server stats are a good start. 6. Alexa ranking doesn?t mean anything don?t get fooled. 7. If your buying traffic for a certain program make your affiliate manager knows and demand an increased payout. 8. Quality over Quantity its easily to fall in the trap of getting a ton of hits thinking ones bound to covert. Not the case. 9. When applicable, use campaign link codes so that you can see which traffic purchased provide you with the best ROI. 9.5. Do not throw all your money at unknowed traffic sources if they are a legit source they will give some sort of test 10. If it?s too good to be true it probably is. |

1. Know the different terminology, girlfreind experience, BBJ bare back blowjob etc 2. Keep the money in an envelope by the couch, bed in plain view and do not make reference to it. She will see it. 3. Shower before 4. Offer the girl a drink! 5. If you uncomfortable thats ok and normal let her take over and do her *JOB* 6. Be very clear in what you want and what your comfortable with 7. Do not let her sleep over 8. Do not let her in if she is not what you requested. Call the agency and make them aware why. 9. Make sure your place is clean 10. Have Fun! this is not based on experience.... its what i heard :) |
