Love that movie.

I know this is totally :offtopic , but have you read the book? The stuff that's in the movie is pretty damn close to the book...minor stuff changed here and there...but the book is a million times more violent and brutal. It's an incredible read. I'm actually just finishing reading it for the second time.

She only seemed to do well because expectations were she'd be slaughtered.

In the end she didn't really hurt McCain but she didnt help him either.

From a debate standpoint it wasn't even close, from an expectation standpoint she did better than expected. Does that make her a winner? I think not.

Biden creamed her really badly, but the sort of people she's going to pull votes from won't know that. It was positive for her because the bar was that low that as long as she didn't completely embarrass (to the majority of people who can be bought by slogans) herself she'd have a net gain. From any objective and intelligent viewpoint Biden won the debate, but it's easy to argue that she did very well in her use of the "platform" by refusing to answer questions and looking right into the camera and talking folksy shit that people want to hear.

Watching the debate made me wonder why the hell Biden wasn't the top of the ticket...I'd be voting Dem in a heartbeat if he was, he has experience, Presidential, and overall the best candidate for the job.

Palin did a fair job though, I think she did what she had to do to sure up the conservative base that was starting to revolt against her as a VP pick. Her biggest problem was explain John McCain's voting record and I'm pretty sure even McCain couldn't have defended some of his choices...

Give them more credit! I watched the debate with my parents and my mom loved Palin. She had no idea what Palin was saying... well neither did Palin... but my mom was eating it up.

She certainly has a dazzling smile and thinks quickly on her feet, but I trust the guy with the stats to back up his facts, not the woman who kneels at the feet of her Holy Maverick.

I thought she was warm, fresh, funny, confident, energetic, personable, relentless, and on message. She roasted Obama?s flip-flops on the surge and tea-with-dictators declarations, dinged Biden?s bash-Bush rhetoric, challenged the blame-America defeatism of the Left, and exuded the sunny optimism that has always energized Americans.

I listened to it live on the radio and Biden kicked her ass all over the place.

I then watched it on TV when I got home and Biden looked like shit and his fake
smile was a big turn off. Biden might of had the Nixon problem. This was when Nixon and Kennedy debated and on the radio Nixon kicked Kennedy's ass but on TV Kennedy won !
