Is it true steroids make your dick small?

I'm having a argument with Axelo9 on here that steroids do make your dick small!
He says that your dick looks small because you look bigger, I beg to differ!

polosas 06-30-2008 08:36 AM

yes its true, sad to say that but its real true !

Libertine 06-30-2008 08:43 AM

Not true. The hormonal problems steroids cause do make your testicles shrink, but your penis stays the same size - though the hormonal imbalance caused by steroids can cause erectile dysfunction, and a limp dick tends to be smaller than a hard one.

so possibly it can make your dick look bigger, if your balls become smaller? optical illusions are tight :1orglaugh

Pleasurepays 06-30-2008 08:48 AM

its not true. people are dumb

Pleasurepays 06-30-2008 08:50 AM

its a very sad irony that certain substances which have more health benefits than anything medical science has come up with yet, are looked at as being taboo.

working out isnt really a medical condition, steroids are used to treat tons of real medical conditions.

Robbie 06-30-2008 08:55 AM

Hah-hah! I've been using testosterone for the last 10 years. My dick is the exact same size as it's always been...and it's hard more often as well. Yes, some anabolics can cause erectile dysfunction. But only a couple of them. And since testosterone is the natural male hormone anyway, using it just makes you more "man" than you would have been as you age. Why do you think that average males have their sexual peak at 18?
It's because that's when their body is producing the most testosterone naturally.
If you start reading about hormone replacement therapy you will be SHOCKED at what happens to men.
Our bodies production of testosterone starts to decline quickly. By the time you're 32 years old you have about HALF of what you had at 18.
That starts leading to penis problems, a "beer belly", getting soft everywhere as a result of muscle loss and fat gain.
Supposedly a man in his 60's would have LESS testosterone than an 18 year old WOMAN!
Now that's fucked up.
But you replace that testosterone and BOOM! You are back in the game baby. I'm 46 and feel great. Keeps the mind sharp, the body toned, sexual performance peaked, and also keeps my general mood very postive.
That's why doctors precscribe it to millions of men.
So do steroids make your dick small? Hell no! It can make your balls shrink at high levels (like the abusive levels that are used in pro bodybuilding) But for a guy like me? No. I'm muscular with a hard dick. I highly recommend it for men in their mid 30's and up.
Younger guys, don't do it. Using testosterone will shut down your bodies natural production. But for us guys who are older...it's the only way to roll, unless you want to get implants and turn into a tranny. LOL

Unless you have medical condition no doctor will perscribe testosterone...

wrong.

as an adult over 30, you already do have a medical condition... its called testosterone deficiency.

there is no shortage of doctors who prescribe test and HGH.

Bullshit. The only "medical condition" is the one that all men already have as they age. You simply go to the doctor and they draw blood and test you for free testosterone in your blood. Almost 100% of all men at age 40 will be far below the levels that are considered "normal" You are very misinformed about this subject. As are most people.
I hope everybody realizes that up until a few years ago you didn't even need a prescription. But then the govt. decided to make the shit a "controlled substance"
Which means that you can walk around with naturally produced testosterone flowing all through your body...it's healthy. But if you buy some testosterone to put in your body, then you are committing the same crime as if you had heroin!
Fucking ridiculous.
The United States is one of the very few countries that has done this. You can go to Mexico, for instance and buy testosterone over the counter just like you buy aspirin.
I hate our fucking government. :(

HGH turns you into sloping forehead man. There is a reason why you testosterone levels decrease. I find it hard to believe that there are absoultely no side effects to taking testosterone while women taking hormone replacement after menopause have many side effects.

There's a ton of truth in what you're saying here. While the dangers (erectile dysfunction, liver problems) of using testosterone are very well known, the positive uses at therapeutic doses not only exist, but are prescribed for a condition called "andropause" (the male version of menopause that occurs due to the lack of testosterone production). The most common treatment for that condition here in Costa Rica is Proviron in tablet form.

The dosages Robbie's talking about and the ones pro body builders use that will cause your nuts to shrink are two very different things.
A pro bodybuilders juicing schedule(from bodybuilding.com):Instead of me going over all 12 weeks of my cycle (which I would never do unless I was getting paid at least $1000.00) I'll just cover my last 4 weeks into the show. It's really quite simple. Three 10 mg. Haloteston daily, 100 mg. of Winstrol V daily (6 days a week), 100 mg. of Trenbolone daily (6 days a week), two 50 mg. Primobolan Tabs daily, two 25 mg. Proviron Tabs daily, ten Anavar daily, one 2.5 mg. Femara daily, ten Clenbuterol daily and 50 mcg. Cytomel daily. The Growth Hormone is taken three times during the day in the morning, afternoon and at bedtime. The total amount used is 7.5 iu's

Now Test replacement is maybe 150mg every two weeks possibly less depending on blood work.
The pro one will shrink your nuts lol

Based on the one I know, not true at all. Depending on what someone is taking and where he's at in a cycle, sometimes there are issues with it staying hard, or (even worse) it being hard ALL the damn time. :1orglaugh

Definitely didn't shrink it, though.

Your body is a negative feedback system. Boost any hormone artificially and your body will naturally cut back its production. Thus the atrophy of the testes by chronic testosterone users. Your nuts will shrink and when you go off it you'll feel terrible and you may even start developing breasts, a phenomenon known among bodybuilders as "bitch's teats". If prolonged use is involved you may permanently shut down your balls and turn yourself into a eunnuch...

Steroids is such a loaded term but Robbie is exactly right about exogenous testosterone. The supra-physiological levels of testosterone that bodybuilders take to get huge are indeed dangerous if taken for too long and have serious side effects.

But testosterone in the injectable or gel form mostly prescribed by doctors specializing in male health and anti-aging medicine is perfectly legal in the U.S. And it has powerful health benefits for males over 35 or so, basically bringing their testosterone levels back to what a eighteen year old male has which affects energy, muscle tone, mood and libido among other things. I know from personal experience, I am in the best shape of my life at thirty-nine because of a combination of a healthy diet, weight-lifting & exercise and learning about these advances in medical science. In the not so distant future this is going to be a standard part of any male's health regimen who cares about taking care of themselves as they get older. HGH is another hormone that has benefits for both men and women over a certain age, but there are more potential risks associated long term HGH use. Definitely worth trying if you are really getting long in the tooth however in my opinion unless you are prepared to really let your self fall apart after age fifty or so.

Funny how people don't realize the BENEFITS of testosterone therapy & just think its steroids because they need to use a needle. Aging men are more likely to be at risk for diabetes, heart disease, etc if / when they're testosterone gets low.

Besides you don't have to use a needle, some just prefer it. There are gels, creams & orals that can do the same thing. It's all about preference.

Good question do our hormones decline because of age... or do we age because of hormone decline?

Not to mention the cognitive thinking and quality of life benefits this therapy helps. Add HGH to the mix for those that need it... healthier skin, better sleep, more muscle mass, less fat, etc.

Here's a good NEW article on TRT

Those who use it and continue to use it will most likely not be promoting the negative effects as in their mind they've justified that its more positve than negative, despite what the actual facts might be.

And what do you think are the "actual" facts? Look it up brother and don't believe everything that our repressive govt. tries to tell you. In case you haven't noticed, the govt. is one of the most inefficient and just plain stupid group of folks in the world. Try looking up HRT or hormone replacement therapy and educate yourself.
You know...I like to go out on the weekend and have a few beers. But if I were painted with the same brush as the worst alcoholic in the world then you would think that everybody that drank alcohol was a monster. Use your brain and think for yourself. Don't listen to govt. pundits in the media with their own agendas.

again... you know nothing about what you are talking about. i have never heard of HGH causing erectile dysfunction. if you were to look up erectile dysfunction in a medical book, you would probably see a wide range of "causes" from anxiety to stress to genetic defects. there is no direct cause and effect relationship between HGH and erectile dysfunction.

funny how those with opinions about steroids are not the ones who have any direct or indirect experience or know even the slightest bit about anatomy and physiology or bio chemistry.

Odin 07-01-2008 09:30 AM

Steroids won't cause a smaller dick. They do cause some temporary problems (ED, and such), but if they are really used responsibly no major issues should be confronted. They are completely legal in a large portion of the world, and legal until relatively recently in the US. In my opinion they should be a controlled substance, that is legal to take for performance enhancement reasons when prescribed. Hell if a girl can get a tit job why can't a guy pump some juice?

I wasn't just talking about hgh but test too. I'm the first to admit I don't know that much about it. If you are using it yourself you are no doubt going to have some kind of bias. I think for the most part, people who use this stuff are trying to avoid the realty that your body changes as you age.
