Best Models Excuses For Flaking Out
 

i would love to hear from some other content providers, directors, and producers the best excuses that models have given them over the years of the models cancelling.

1. my grandmother died
2. my car broke down
3. i wrote down the wrong date
4. i got into an accident (then ironically show up two days later with the same car with no damage)
5. i went out to lunch with my mother before the shoot, she stated i needed to drive her to her surgery.
6. my other grandmother died
7. my dog died
8. my boyfriend found out
9. my boyfriend died in a car accident last night.
10. my grandmother died again
11. i started my period
12. i was on my way to the studio and i left the directions at home
13. i overbooked
14. i went to the doctor and turns out i'm pregnant.
15. my grandfather died
16. death in the family
18. i didn't have enough money for gas to get there.
19. too much traffic so i decided to go to the beach instead.
20. had to stay late at work then while i was rushing to get to the studio (better late than never) my car broke down and i got into an accident with a car that had my boyfriend and my grandmother in it.
21. i was so hungover
22. i died last night

Awesome, but you forgot the that the accident only happened because her poor ill cat ran across the street and that she wanted to get a taxi afterwards, but was taken as a hostage in a bank robbery when she wanted to get money for the taxi from the ATM.

it doesnt matter, only thing matters is that they are not going to be at your shoot. its only a waste of energy to try to think differently, and even to try to reschedule them is often also a waste of time.

a model did put diesel in her tank instead of gas on the way to a shoot of mine once.

you missed I got pregeant ... I got that one quite a few times .. oddly enough form the same model over a three month period (lol she actually got preggy and had an abortion three times in as many months!)

A model named Claire Bandit once called me ten minutes after she was supposed to be at my studio, and told me she couldn't make the shoot because she was frightened her boyfriend's dog was going to die, and she wanted to stay with the animal.

eerily similar to the "why i havent paid you yet" list.

I was out all night drinking nad doing drugs celebrating my boyfriends birthday... a good photographer should be able to shoot around that!

It is amazing how many chicks have car wrecks on the way to shoots.

I left my makeup in my friends car.

Something came up with my son and he is more important than calling you to cancel.
I got shot. (This one is true. Boyfriend shot her in the leg. She ended up shooting with us later and had a tattoo around the bullet hole. )

I got, "my mom's sick" a couple of weeks ago. Also, "my goldfish died". The one's who are strippers too are THE WORST LIARS. They'll lie when the truth is of no consequence whatsoever. It's like they're on lying autopilot.

i remember that a friend of mine, who shot nearly every day, said it got so bad at one point, he considered opening a site called unreliablebitches.com and when you entered the members area it was gonna be loads of missing pics and red x's everywhere, along with a couple of lines of text saying... this one would have been GREAT... had she showed up !

Don't forget to add "...but it's not my fault." to the end of everything.

"i'm on a shoot right now and they are running late, I'll be there as soon as we are done here"

its actually preferred that they stay home that day(s) when their red friend is visiting.... unfortunately too many times i have been told (while shooting) "..ooops that wasnt supposed to come until next week.." or "..i am on prima / patch / whatever and sometimes it just spotting whenever, i cant help it.."

had a VERY well known model tell us that SHE had died the day before the shoot a few years back.. Claimed she was died for like 4 mins or something due to some heart condition.

Since then I have worked and hung out with her but never even bothered to ask about it..
