For pc my all time favorite game is without a doubt Age of Empires! :thumbsup
For console it's Zelda!

SimCity 2000 on PC.

The LAST game I ever played.

Installed it.... 3 days later the rockets took off and I went to bed.

Never played a game since.

Roller Coaster Tycoon! And Yahtzee if you're talking board games.

Simcity 2000 and Civilization for the oldies, i still install them on computers.

All time, world of warcraft, seriously had some play value.

Starcraft.

X-Com: UFO Defense, is a close second.

NHL 2001.

NBA, FIFA, etc. Starcraft is a great game too.

I like the hockey games as well

Quake 3 Arena probably... I still have it installed and once a month or so play some Rocket Arena or rail-only instagib.

I got my frist PC when I was 15 and never really got back into games after say 1999, but I remember I LOVED the Duke Nukem 3D - so many hours and I am still a very tough bastard to beat if I get down to it!

Doom was THE revolution but I haven't had a chance to play that till say 2002 so I don't count that.



Outside of Action games, well I did played a LOT of NHL hockey games from EA sports - so cool and all the real stats, I knew every NHL player back in the day..

OBJECTIVELY ALL TIME GAME:

I would have to say Fallout and Fallout 2 - the story and atmosphere is just too artistic to ignore - I loved it and want to play it some day again..

I'm not a huge gamer, but once I start playing Soul Caliber I can't seem to stop Kiliking mad ass.

Metal Gear Solid on the ps1. And I remember the final fantasys being pretty epic when I was like 15-16.

Now a days.... its all Halo.

I honestly can't say, for it to be my fav of all time means I would still have to be playing it today, with some sort of DOS emulator. Actually, last year I played the original Monkey Island with the help of ScummVM, and althought I played this game alot in my early teens, I can't really say it's my favorite of all time.

I rarely play nowadays, once in a blue moon I'll fire up Test Drive Unlimited on the PC, that's about it. My old comp doesn't cut it with modern games anyway, it struggles with TDU a bit, maybe I'll get back into gaming when I finally do that long promised full system upgrade.

But looks like I'm not the only one who can't pick a favorite game. Many people here are listing multiple games, when they should only be picking ONE favorite game. Hard to do, isn't it. :-)

Ive really enjoy the Jedi Knights single-player games alot..probably my favorite single-player of all time.

based on the number of times I've installed and un-installed, it would have to be Company of Heroes. I have a love/hate relationship with that game so passionate -- it's like that girl you hate, and she's a fucking bitch, but the sex is so good you keep coming back for more.

mortal kombat peakedat greatness with mk3 trilogy in the arcade, console was ok too...
word is that after the next mortal kombat there are wiping out all the old charactrs and starting with a fresh storyline, but keeping the name.
