Sly 12-02-2007 10:41 PM

It's because of Bush. Tomorrow he can follow throughand shut off oil.

stev0 12-02-2007 10:45 PM

How do you figure it was because of Bush? Venezuelans voted... he said he'd shut off oil if the US tried to interfere, and they didn't.

Cash 12-02-2007 10:45 PM

Chavez is a moron ...

xxxdesign-net 12-02-2007 10:54 PM

Doubt Venezuelan people gave a thought to "our generation's cuba castro" - they voted for themselves in their own election. That's what national elections are for - not for other countries :winkwink:

he's right

Chavez lost 49,3% : 50,7%
he could have easily rigged it with such close numbers

instead he admitted and acknowledged that he lost...

Really ????? who told you that ???? :

The president conceded defeat in a televised broadcast minutes after the result was announced at 1.20am Venezuelan time (5.20am GMT). "This was a photo finish," he said. The margin was "microscopic" but he would respect the will of the majority.

that is democracy ... the real one :2 cents:

Lamis 12-03-2007 10:14 AM

Im happy for this...

Not because he didn't win.. but because this shows that Venezuela is still a democratic country.. more democratic than other countries like Russia or even USA.. This is a big kick ass, not for Chavez.. but for CNN, BBC and we all know what other propaganda sellers around the world.

LiveDose 12-03-2007 11:31 AM

Good news.

I bet the Hollywood crowd is disappointed... lol

WTF you care about the " venezuelan people " ...

Start caring about the iraqis dying from cholera in Baghdad because 80 % of the sewer system is destroyed ....

Probono 12-03-2007 11:41 AM

Watching this from Panama has been interesting, 1500 Venezuelans a day have been landing here with few catching their return flights. I think Chavez has several more years in office to achieve his goals of staying in office. Worst case he can so a Putin and move from the soapbox into the role of pulling the strings. Nothing new here except that unlike some recent elections in "the land of the free" the electorate has apparently spoken without Diebold's help.

or not? http://www.nytimes.com/2006/10/29/wa...=1&oref=slogin

sniperwolf 12-03-2007 12:40 PM

Of course, the main blame (80%) falls on Saddam for this unfortunate outcome of war, but you can also blame the Iraqi people (20%) for tolerating Saddam and the Baathists as long as they did. When you allow bad government, all sorts of terrible things happen, such as wars. If you were to say that the German people also deserved a share of blame for electing and tolerating Hitler, I would agree with that too.

No doubt. If we're invaded by a coalition of countries tired of us conquering the world, then we're to blame for tolerating this government for as long as we have.

Hahahaha, maybe you would have a heart attack if I also told you that my degree is with honors.

I'd fax over my diploma, but it is a virtual certainty that you can't read Latin; you have enough difficulty with English and logic.

:1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

daddytrollbucks why dont you try not watching fox news for a month and see if your views become more based on common sense and truth instead of what ever the fuck you have going on in that head of yours

Your implied comparison of GWB with Hitler and/ or Saddam is absurd and ridiculous.

Hate to ask this :1orglaugh:1orglaugh But what exactly was the field in which you were granted this degree??? Stupidity?? *LOL*

God... if true, it sure is a living example of how useless the education system really is - my parrot has more sense.

The funny part about it is the parrot knows it's just being cute repeating what you say to him. Daddydouchebucks thinks he is being clever when he simply repeats Foxnews.

Yeah really democratic, calling the oppositionīs victory "shitty" on live national TV, backed by his military command:
http://uk.reuters.com/article/oilRpt...62583920071205

And by the looks of it he is going to choose to ignore the peopleīs vote and he is still going to try to push his socialist constitution on the country using the completely pro-Chavez congress. Even more democratic.
Despite the current constitution stating clearly that once a constitutional reform has been defeated it cannot be presented again during the same presidential period.

He is not going to rest until he drives this country to a civil war apparently.

Remember to bump this every time one of these Chavez lovers call him a "democrat".
