FTV makes local news....

I posted this in the other thread, but thought it was worthy of a thread of its own.

It looks like Rob and his Lambo video made it to the local headline news here in Phoenix. The DPS is investigating the incident that took place on the Red Mountain Freeway.
I wonder if they have any recourse after the fact? Messing with the law out here is crazy to say the least.

Oracle Porn 11-28-2007 05:45 AM

url? were they the ones who cause the accident or why are they being investigated?

This was the thread http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showthread.php?t=787075

I just heard it on the news so I haven't been out searching for stories.

If you make a video of yourself speeding then you will get ticketed as the video is plenty of evidence.

It has happened a few times in the past, here is the only article I could find in a quick search.

Teenager posted video of himself speeding on youtube and was later fined for it:

This may not turn out so good in the end. I think 15 or 20 over the speed limit is a felony here in AZ. And the news is going to play this up.

JohnnyJames 11-28-2007 06:00 AM

This could get very ugly for Rob. . .

JohnnyJames 11-28-2007 06:02 AM

And just wait till the photos with the naked hotties around that car start popping up in the news. . . someone with a little more power than Rob may get a woody for him and his wheels. . . hope not, but I wouldn't be surprised.

marketsmart 11-28-2007 06:07 AM

over 100 MPH is a felony in most states. they can also charge you with some form of negligence with a deadly weapon because of the speeds...

will be interesting to see what happens on this one...

rvincent 11-28-2007 06:17 AM

Not only he made the news, but the "Video shows Lamborghini going 219 mph on Loop 202" headlines is ranked #1 in the most popular headlines on ABC15.com :-)

yea, it could be a lesson to everyone about posting illegal activities. He has lots of money and will probably walk away with a hefty fine. I am sure if it was me, they would toss me in jail, take my lic and auto.

The 202 is also considered the Red Mountain Freeway. I see it hit another news channel also.

JohnnyJames 11-28-2007 06:22 AM

Video removed from the original site and now from youtube.

A little late for damage control . . .

Brilliant marketing if he can spin the story. Fast Cars, hot girls who is this guy type of story. Could be some sponsor deals in the works and fame if he wants it. It may be a coming out PR Stunt I mean the site is legendary online.
Worse case they make an example of him and might do time, lose license and pay fines. I guess once you drove a car like that at top speed, what the point of driving anymore except to get into racing.

reaching_into_the_muck 11-28-2007 06:32 AM

This could also turn into some good free publicity.

thonglife 11-28-2007 06:53 AM

Lots of money turns some people into complete morons.. look at Joe Francis.

or it could turn into a nightmare for him. I dont understand he is a rich man go rent out a track and drive as fucking fast as you want and you can video tape it, take photos. It would be just as thrilling watch and no one else's life is in danger and no worries about the police giving you a upper rectal.

PetMyKitty 11-28-2007 07:07 AM

maybe he's also the same guy exposing his dick at arrow head mall and videotaping it and posting it on the net?

Not sure what free publicity you think he is getting. I have viewed the story on 6 different sites and have not seen mention of ftvgirls.com on any of them.

Give it time. When the media gets wind of what he does, they will hype the shit out of it for sure.

This he can get around by proving that no one could have been hurt by the simple fact that he did this in the desert. There is Florida case law on that. A guy got off on that because the area of US1 that he did something similar on is deserted.

I pray he has his 2257 together, because they will be knocking soon.

Not all press is good press anymore.

Casa Nova 11-28-2007 07:46 AM

wow this sucks big time for him.. I do hope everything works out for him though, it would be a shame for something like this to bring hhim down.

if it goes national think about all the traffic and conversions. could make more than the ticket and fine by a large margin. of course he might have to walk everywhere for a few years :)

I think that there is video of him passing other cars.

Will Black 11-28-2007 08:07 AM

Unless you are selling something, don't post vids of illegal activities on the internet. Luckily he has something to sell.

reaching_into_the_muck 11-28-2007 08:13 AM

But he did not show his face on the video so they are going to have to prove that in fact Rob was the driver. This would mean that the passenger would need to testify against him.

Hmm, lets see... he's been named in this thread (and the original), video was posted by an "employee" and, I would think, tracking down the owner of a gold coloured Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 would not be too hard ... oh and the "driver" appears in the video telling how he broke the record.

May be circumstantial but very strong circumstances!

I don't think if it was him, he or anyone involved will be posting in this thread or the original again.

tehHinjew 11-28-2007 08:41 AM

theres another video on youtube where a 23 yr old kid takes his murci to 219mph

justsexxx 11-28-2007 08:45 AM

Wow. I understood from a gumball dude, that he waited with posting hid vid, after some time for(forgot the name) expires. Meaning he can not be fined anymore for it

justinsain 11-28-2007 08:57 AM

I think I could take my video camera and shoot and edit something very similar but use my Jeep instead and make it LOOK like I did 219 mph on a public road. The problem is that nobody would believe it because a Jeep can't go that fast but they believe his video is accurate because the Lambo is capable of those speeds.

It's possible that this was a hoax but not very probable. Because the video could be fake I don't see how it could be used against him in a court of law. I would think there would have to be a witness or Law enforcement record the speed on radar or something of that nature. The legitimacy of the video could be questioned.

PetMyKitty 11-28-2007 10:33 AM

last time i drove on the loop 202

uhh like yesterday

it was not in the desert

zips right through mesa, tempe, airport, phoenix

ummm it wasn't deserted he had to slow down because of other cars on the road at least once.

Brother Bilo 11-28-2007 10:49 AM

It always cracks me up when people do shit they don't want to get busted for and then put the video on the web. Hard to deny shit when the video is on Youtube.
