MelissaMoney: am I getting credit for the AFF pop on sweetadri.com?

I thought the tours were popup free :helpme When did this Adult Friend finder popup appear and how much am I losing because if it?

fuzebox 09-27-2007 04:59 PM

I see it too when I load the site... As far as I know they only have a 50% console-free revshare program... :disgust

Papillon 09-27-2007 05:09 PM

That is one of the worst traffic leaks I have ever seen.

I had joined MM yesterday but hadnt checked the sweetadri site. Thanks for the headsup starpimps. I will be sending my hard earned traffic elsewhere.

Darkhorse 09-27-2007 05:13 PM

Thats pretty fucking bad, another sponsor I will not be using.....

Martin3 09-27-2007 05:14 PM

With 100% payouts on that site, what do you expect?

starpimps 09-27-2007 05:17 PM

Ohhhh maybe they added it for the promo... Still though :disgust

FreeHugeMovies 09-27-2007 05:22 PM

I hate traffic leaks. Of course some program owners will come in here and say "It's the cost of doing business." Just don't send them traffic.

kektex 09-27-2007 05:25 PM

Bumpage...

Bro Media - BANNED FOR LIFE 09-27-2007 06:00 PM

ouch....

fuzebox 09-27-2007 07:50 PM

No official answer yet :(

I know it's after business hours, but damn, any gallery submitters are probably blacklisted by now :helpme

Quickdraw 09-27-2007 08:13 PM

The funny thing is that, that AFF popup will trigger more popups by malware like zango for surfers that have it installed.
Right now the Zango popups include anything from aff/cams.com, amateurmatch.com(via revenuegateway), freepornlessons.com, adultlove.com(Hundies, Wegcash?), sexbankroll as usual, to codec exploits. I'm sure most of you understand what the codec exploits are doing to your se listings with those surfers.

st0ned 09-27-2007 08:16 PM

Yeah I noticed that a few days ago. I haven't started promoting yet, We will see how it turns out.

TeenSluts 09-27-2007 08:20 PM

DRAMA. sig spot secured.

LiveDose 09-27-2007 08:27 PM

Gotta be for the promo but a heads up would be nice.

I THOUGHT IF I WAS GOING TO DO IT THE BEST TIME WAS WHEN I WAS OFFERING 100% PAYOUTS IN CASE SOME DIDN'T LIKE IT. ALSO IT'S A SINGULAR POP UP AND FROM SALES AND STATS IT HASN'T RELLY EFFECTED ANYTHING AT ALL. MELISSA

I sold crack to a kid once, and didn't pay my pimp. It was fine though, I only did it once and the kid got a REAL good deal.

DaddyHalbucks 09-28-2007 10:00 AM

Melissa Money looks like a good program, but they should plug the traffic leaks if they want lots of webmaster traffic.

Yeah um... Sometimes when webmasters think they are sending to a popup free tour, they actually expect it to be popup free.

I feel bad for anyone who may lose their TGP partner accounts because of this :(

From someone who has had their fair share of gfy drama, why does it not surprise me? Maybe with responsible analogies like this, from people who probably haven't even sent us 1 click of traffic this year or are affected at ALL by this situation, this is the cause? Perhaps.

As Melissa said, we are privy to the #s, and the leak isn't as bad as people assume it is. We're not running or hiding from the issue. We also don't have the crazy firefox pop crack, nor are we running it as a loop of endless consoles. The pop is up as a test, and will be removed by Monday. Why did we test it? To see if we can expand our revenues. If we can expand our revenues, then we can pay our affiliates more, and if we don't test it, then we would never know. It's one thing to ask questions, it's another to make assumptions when you aren't privy to the real information.

This is a business. We care about our affiliates, and we're doing whatever we can to try and increase what you make through promoting us. We would never sacrifice sales, we think by running it we wont lose a lot, if any at all. And you know something, after seeing the #s and the conversion ratio, we weren't far off. Talk is cheap, there are a lot of complainers in this thread, most of which probably don't even send us traffic. This is what GFY has become, a hostile place where people make assumptions and rip on people who they don't even know.

Biggy 09-28-2007 10:15 AM

Also, let me add, if anyone WAS seriously affected by this, I apologize, although I don't think there were.

If you were affected by this, if you lost a partner account, or something else we didn't fore see - feel free to contact us, and we will make good, as always.

xclusive 09-28-2007 10:19 AM

Some people spend $100's of dollars a month on submit passes and many probably put up galleries to take advantage of your %100 payouts. You're fucking each of them and they could lose their partner accounts because of the popup. Why not set up a second option that has the pop and leave the rev-share accounts that are already signed up non-popup?

The pop up was a test. A 1 week test that went up days ago. The 100% contest started yesterday, and ends today, a total of 48 hours. If anyone lost any partner accounts, I will personally make good on it. I'll let you know how many people come forward. Notice, at this point, it's all assumptions. MAYBE someone lost an account, not people coming forward saying it actually happened. I can only deal with reality, not what-ifs. And this was never a permanent move.

Klen 09-28-2007 10:24 AM

I cant belive there is actualy people who promote that crap aff.

This is a reasonable answer, however it misses the point. Wouldn't of been a little more courteous to notify all your affiliates via e-mail that you were running a test for the reasons stated above?

WarChild 09-28-2007 10:27 AM

I'm going to test not sending any traffic ever, see how that works.

BradM 09-28-2007 10:28 AM

You're right Biggy, I am sorry. I didn't send you 1 click, I sent you 5,500 this year.

I realize that is nothing to you, and NO none of those clicks were affected by this popup issue. Nor will they be because I am pulling the very few links down I did have to ensure I don't run into this issue.

My traffic is pathetically small, so you can imagine how potential or BIG current affiliates feel about the situation.

Oh right sorry I forgot you just assumed it was fake drama or something.

dissipate 09-28-2007 10:33 AM

That's just bad bid'ness

Biggy 09-28-2007 10:36 AM

I'm going to make one final comment on this.

This was a 1 week test. We don't trivialize anyone's traffic, not on ANY program. If anyone thinks they were seriously affected, they can gladly email me. In 5 Years of operation, I didn't think testing 1 singular pop up on a site for 1 week would have such a negative impact.

Clearly from the responses in this thread, I'm wrong and I'm sorry.

And brad, I thank you for your traffic, and I still think you're analogy is incredibly irresponsible, comparing selling crack, to this. Even if you want to make a point, there's a mature way and there's an immature way. Anyone who knows me, knows I'm all business.

Soon we will have hardcore for Melissa to promote. There will be no popups come Monday.

WarChild 09-28-2007 10:38 AM

Biggy, I think it's been established that in the future before running tests on live sites with affiliate traffic, you'd be better off at least letting the affiliates know. Better yet, taking some feedback from affiliates before starting.

Everything in life is relative. It's an analogy, I didn't think it would hurt feelings or anyone would actually ASSUME I was comparing this to selling crack. I thought people were mature enough to understand analogies are simply ways of explaining a situation through another, even if the analogy isn't directly related to the situation.

I'll work on my analogy maturity for the next time a no-pop link shows popups for a week and the sponsor claims innocence when all it would have taken was an email, or offering a popup/nopop link in the members area.

Iron Fist 09-28-2007 10:42 AM

And for the record, i've joined your new NATs program and will be sending over traffic shortly...

At the time we make a permanent move to an exit console, there will of course be a no-console version of the tour. Without a 1 week test, that option can't even be considered. By Monday, there won't even be an issue, cause it will be removed.

Please, make sure in every post you write, you make analogies to kids selling crack. I take our business very seriously, as I do with every single one of our affiliate's concerns - including every single affiliate in this thread - even you. My email is always open to correspondence from any of our affiliates.

Understood. I made the mistake of thinking we wouldn't have such a negative backlash. I thought a single pop up would be OK, for a week. We aren't running an endless loop of consoles, also, we're not using the crazy FireFox pop code many programs use. In fact, If I hit the site in IE and FF, it automatically gets blocked.

Either way, I learned my lesson. Starpimps, feel free to hit me up if you need anything. If you think were seriously affected by this in a negative way, email me. You know me, I'll always make good.

sublimed 09-28-2007 11:24 AM
