Is it wrong to laugh at someones poor english?
 

So I bought a new couch and the Pakistatny man who sold it to my wife and I asked if I had a truck.

I said yeah, It was out front.

Oh, absolutely laugh at them. ESPECIALLY if they are on your turf (ie your country). If you on their turf they can laugh at you.

As for websites, the majority rules so if you speak broken Engrish on GFY you should and probably will be laughed at.

Make sure you don't laugh in front of the person.. You might get a slap on your face.. ;-)

I never laugh when it's obvious that the person is trying and learning.

But when a self-confident ass starts showing off his "perfect pronunciation and grammar english" that he got from a school teacher that's never talked to an English person, yeah, I usually lmao.

I would definitely laugh at that one... but I'd explain why I laughed, and give him a little lesson in Engrish at the same time lol.

If you laughed in his face or that he could clearly see you were laughing at him then I think that is rude. If you held on until he couldn't be offended and just had to laugh..then okay.

If you wouldn't naturally laugh at something like that, you're too uptight and need to relax a little. I usually laugh at that and then try and correct them or give some pointers or something. The guy at the gas station by my old house used to do that shit. I would be crackin up all the way to work because of shit he would say.

I was kidding around with him during the whole sale. We had a good banter going on. He wasn't offended.

Besides, I'm Canadian. The world knows we have a good sence of humour.

Howie Mandel? Probably should of left him off the list. I still don't think Canadians are world renowned for being funny just because a handful of funny dudes were born there. I wouldn't say the US is world renowned for being funny, but a hell of a lot more comedians are from the States than Canada.
