The lovely PamiebDVD's took me out to a luscious meal this evening, consisting of white sea worms, crickets and scorpions.

All in all . . . not too bad. Some things tasted better than others, but at least I know if I ever get stranded somewhere with limited resources, I will survive.

I was sitting here thinking about what gets mashed up in hamburger meat. I used to be a meat cutter, and trust me, those crickets are probably a lot better for you than what you will find in your burger.

In Costa Rica I refused to eat the mystery meat they sell at the side of the road. I had a "Mexico burger" once when I lived in Escazu, I remember I picked out a foot long tendon piece out of the ground "beef" that was in it.

I enjoyed cutting meat, but they don't like to waste stuff, so it all goes in the grinder.

Of course, I used filet mignon for my own hamburger meat.

The only problem is I don't know if I am picking bugs from my teeth because of dinner or the bike ride home.

Dinner was really fun.

Didn't mind the pictures at dinner, in fact, there were several girls who thought the pictures were being taken of them and they liked it.

Can't say that the worms were my favorite.....

But, you've got to try everything at least once.

Wasn't it these girls that said, "thank you" as they walked by?

I think the sea worms were supposedly prepared "Thai Style"

They pretty much tasted like that Tetra-Min flake fish food smells. (Sorry for that - anyone who might be eating while reading this.)
