You've got to have more than one major country involved for it to be considered WW3. A few terrorist attacks here and there don't lead to world war anyway.

WW3 is where China and Russia get together and attempt to take down the US. When WW3 finally does break out, this "war on terror" bullshit will seem like we were just swatting flies.

I agree. Right now it's the US in Iraq. Not sure if Afganstan even counts. However, the US against the entire Middle East would be interesting, although it seems Isreal has done something along those lines more than once.

I honestly don't think WW3 can ever happen? China can't attack the US. It's entire economy would grind to an instant halt. Most modern countries able to wage war on such a large scale are too tied up financially.

Bush must have been kind a pissed when Iran stopped dealing with US dollars and switched to EUROS!!!

well so much for american withdrawing its troops soon - I didnt think that the president could order more ships in without permission - the democrats were elected on the basis that they were going to work on getting this whole mess sorted out, not by increasing the forces.

3rd ww unlikely - though I do feel that israel will be the focus of it all - and that america's resources will be too stretched out to be of much benefit.

What scares me is that the more usa spends on military build up and overseas work in iraq - other countries that initially were afraid to do anything thinking the usa would step in and stop them - will start realizing that america has stretched itself too far thereby if they did start a war against their neighbor - america would be not only slow to respond, but more than likely would be unable too.

Probably not, The US abandoned the strong dollar policy a long time ago - the strong dollar is responsible for the largest current account deficits of all time.

hahaha... reminds me of when i was 15-16 and working with my father in the summers (20 years ago) - he was always telling me that i will probably get drafted to fight against china in the next world war. he used to scare the shit out of me with that. probably one of the reasons i haven't spoken to him in 16-17 years. :)

World War 4 has already begun. No one knows when it started, although 1979 is a probable date.

The US needs to quit sending messages and stay out of the faces of other nations and sort out it's shit at home. If Iceland or China said the same thing - they'd be told to go fuck themselves - and little doubts that is exactly what Middle East countries are saying and demonstrating by the increase in anti-Americanism in the region.

Who knows, but seriously doubt the "largest US embassy in the world" in Iraq will exist in 10 years, but prob end up a pile of rubble.
