What do you use to edit raw HTML code...

Wondering what everyone uses to edit raw HTML code. I currently use Editplus and was wondering if there is a much more powerful software with time saving features out there. Paid or Freeware.

psili 12-04-2006 01:49 PM

The only IDE I use - http://www.eclipse.org

Mr Pheer 12-04-2006 01:50 PM

I use ultra edit for everything from html to php or just writing down notes

its not free, but it does kick ass

CaptainHowdy 12-04-2006 01:52 PM

EditPlus or Crimson Editor...

Tom_PM 12-04-2006 01:55 PM

I use HTML-Kit by Chami for html, php, perl, etc etc.

jacked 12-04-2006 01:56 PM

UltraEdit works good

Jakke PNG 12-04-2006 01:59 PM

FunkyDog 12-04-2006 02:00 PM

notepad is good...but there are alot of other software out there that can save you alot of time and make it alot easier to view raw HTML, like giving colors to the different tags

kristin 12-04-2006 02:05 PM

Notepad or TextEdit on a Mac.

GooSearch 12-04-2006 02:07 PM

notepad and find and replace :)

RyuLion 12-04-2006 02:08 PM

dreamweaver takes care of it..

sharp 12-04-2006 02:10 PM

Notepad.

StuartD 12-04-2006 02:14 PM

Homesite actually.

The FTP functionality is the only reason. Otherwise I'd use notepad.

Webby 12-04-2006 02:14 PM

UltraEdit, NoteTab Plus and some other thing that's free, but OK - NotePad++

Simplicity works fine :-)

cranki 12-04-2006 02:14 PM

notepad++ it's hot! :thumbsup

selena 12-04-2006 02:31 PM

Dreamweaver if it's local and Cute FTP if it is on my server.

tombarr 12-04-2006 02:39 PM

check out edit pad pro

Has a great search and replace function that handles blocks of text, html, code, anything and can do the SAR through all open files at one time. I have used others that had a similar capability but this one just really out did them all for me.

mikeyddddd 12-04-2006 02:43 PM

Notepad. I have Dreamweaver and CuteHTML but never use them.

gclouds 12-04-2006 02:43 PM

mortenb 12-04-2006 02:45 PM

Homesite. I like the color coding and I have been using it for years, so I know it by heart.

RyanAdultplex 12-04-2006 02:52 PM

I usually use notepad, and then dump it into dreamweaver to make sure I wrote everything right, and make minor adjustments.

ssp 12-04-2006 02:53 PM

You are not alone, my friend. I also use it, but not as much as I used to. Notepad has became my weapon of choice lately.

KrisKross 12-04-2006 08:02 PM

CuteHTML. Simple and not bloated.
