Xlabor.com SCAM warning !
 
Just want to warn fellow webmasters about Xlabor before they purchase anything, their support is the WORST i've ever seen ! Their templates look nice, so i purchased, created my blog but stumbled upon a big error (!) in their template.

Not any answer to my ICQ's, no respond on emails, nothing ! Do NOT purchase anything from them, i'm sure there are much better designers around who DO provide support & service after purchase.. seems i'm not the only one having problems, they even don't deliver their templates, just do a search on GFY ! :mad:

I have bought several, they do take a long time to deliver, they do sometimes have difficulty communicating with the client, but they have never ripped me off and they do supply very nice themes for the price. And yes as to errors, I have a html/css guy go in and clean things up after the fact - that's life. I am still happy with what they have done for me, you take the good with the bad, and hope they will continue improving there service. :2 cents:

I bought a template recently and asked for a custom logo (as they offer that service on the site). Got my template but never got a reply. So i did it myself in photoshop.

Kind of sucks you have to have some other party go back and clean up the theme you purchased. As long as your happy in the end though thats all that matters.

Yes support is slow but they do have some of the best designs available.They do require some clean up but for the money they are the best in my book.

I have ordered some of their templates with no problems and service is fast however after delivery of the templates the service goes way down. I also asked for a logo change and never heard anything back from them.

I still think their stuff is a good deal just don't count on them for anything after you have purchased.

they may(or may not) be providing bad serivices but they haven't scammed anybody as far as I know.

I had big problems with them when I ordered a custom theme when James was there - it took a long time to get sorted but Czarina came on board and got it all sorted for me and was very helpfull. I have also ordered a number of normal templates from them and all have been recieved very quickly.

They may be slow at times but they are not scammers - try catching Czarina - she'll sort it out for you.

My personal experience was good, and they did help me tweak a couple of things at my request as well. I'm sure they'll sort it out once you do get a hold of them. :2 cents:

If you are worried about getting ripped off or poor customers service. Why not spend the extra money and go with like "Machine Gun Kelly" or "Web Inc"

I promise you will not have any problems what so ever.

I have also used them on three occasions, and Since Czarina took over the day to day, things have gotten much better. Remember that they dont have all IN HOUSE people, so you may have to give them some time. But as long as you are in contact with Czarina, you WILL get what you asked for.

I discovered a while ago that many designers that make wordpress templates don't have a fucking clue how to follow the design conventions and standard layouts / tagging. They make the designs all pretty and everything, but much of the stuff is hardcoded and doesn't allow for expansion or easy modification.

Be careful what you buy.

No offense but i knew you were gonna reply exactly this. I like what you guys offer and will buy more in the future but please stop the BS. This thread says enough. Franck: I am indeed available during those hours. Of course, I take showers, have lunch, etc. during those hours, but if someone contacts me, I ALWAYS respond.
I took over xLabor about 2 months ago. Whatever happened before that, I had nothing to do with. But ever since, I have been nothing but helpful to the people who contact me for one reason or the other.

Hey Franck Cutsomer Support is most places sucks and you know that. I am sure that they are not the firs company that you have had an issue with. But since Czarina took over, things that been a lot better, and she does answer the icq and mail. And as for this thread, the only thing I see other than the idiot that started it, is that people say the CS is not the best, but in general happy.

So dont make drama where it is not needed.

Pornguy im not sure if people should know this but arent you and czarina connected? Doesnt she have something to do with your company or something?

Franck: when did you send those emails? I make it a point to answer my emails every 2 to 3 hours, all day long. If I get something from someone, I answer it. Why wouldn't I? It's not a conspiracy...

I can also vouch for how horrid these people are with custom work, here is my story :)

I'd say about three weeks ago I ordered a custom site after having nice results with my premade blog templates, I figured this has to work out... So I get an order done it costs 285 bucks, Ok, so I prepay 70 bucks cause thats what they wanted, no biggie... I go out of town on the weekends and shit, I let Czarina know blah blah no big deal. She has some stuff go down that makes her gone for a day, again no biggie... Here we are now, I notice some small errors with my final design that I ok'd and paid the remainder for... Now Czarina tells me that she will persoanlly fix these so they are done right away. I'm thinking sweet, I get to start this new project today.... I get it back with more errors than before and different html that looked like a retarded 5 year old put together. After numerous other changes, I get this fucked up design that is impossible to work with. So here I sit over 3 weeks since they started working on this, with the main part of the design done and not right, and the matching gallery template is nowhere to be found. All I have to say is FUCK YOU XLABOR.COM, APC DAVE, AND YOU CZARINA. FUCK YOU.

Thanks to a new guy, I got a new design that looks ten times better for half the price, and guess what guys??? IT WAS DONE THE SAME DAY! YAY!

If you need a premade blog template, you might wanna go with these guys, but for any custom work stay far, far away.

Where you think? To customer support maybe? Just like the MANY other people in this thread who didnt get their email answered.
