As many know I am dissabled, and here is something I so fucking want.

I so fucking want this.

Either I will find the pricing and buy one, or some rich benifactor who wants my love long time and maybe even sponsorship of it can buy it for me. :1orglaugh

I think I will have to buy it.

Nysus 11-21-2006 10:21 PM

Peaches 11-21-2006 10:24 PM

Damn, I don't know much about wheelchairs, but at 289 pounds, that seems AWFULLY heavy. How convenient would it be to put in and out of a car/van? Or would you have to have a van you can drive it into?

munki 11-21-2006 10:24 PM

Shit... I'm not disabled... and I want one... that thing looks sweet.

crockett 11-21-2006 10:27 PM

They had it on the Daily Show a week or two ago along with the guy that built it.

Sly 11-21-2006 10:27 PM

Get off your lazy ass and learn to walk.

You can remove the remote after you transfer into a seat and then drive it up a ramp or where ever while you are not in it. Or someone else can operate the remote.

Anyways full blown electric chairs are often as heavy as hell anyways. Typically you have a hydraulic lift to get in and out of vans and such.

Ah, did not know that. Does look very cool. I've always said if I ever need a wheelchair it better be 4WD :)

Fuck it, I will still get it. May set me back but damn it I would pay so much more to gain as much mobility that thing offers.

Hell right now even simple shit like gravel, small rocks, and damn curbs get in my way every damn day. Sure they may have assorted disability laws and crap which just means that they must place a ramp like at least somewhere along a damn sidewalk within a block. Do you have any idea what it is like to park in one place then have to wheel behind parked cars and specially SUV's going up the parking lot to reach the ramp?

Kimo 11-21-2006 10:39 PM

that chair is awesome

tehHinjew 11-21-2006 10:39 PM

Not sure but would not be surprised if they were behind it. They have invented some crazy medical shit over the last few years.

Pete-KT 11-21-2006 10:44 PM

Damm thats badass bro, Hope you get one soon

After Shock Media 11-21-2006 10:44 PM

Hmm Crap on the FAQ looks like your knees must bend all the way normally. My left leg likes to extend. Ok it may cost me the 29k or so boyalley said and some additional funds to cut my lower leg off, hell I may just do them both.

I want this.

Yeh, it is pretty sweet. I've seen various similar types every now and then.

My goal is to some day make enough money to fund a R&D lab just to make me all kinds of cool shit, hehe.

Yngwie 11-21-2006 10:49 PM

at the rate that my leg disability is going I will need something like that in the next 4 to 5 years.

Best of luck to you man.. Is there any medicare (?) or some thing like that maybe to help cover some of the cost? I have seen the infomercials for another chair thing that says they can help you get one of theirs cheap or free.. Maybe this one has some sorta offers like that to look into...

Sarah_Jayne 11-22-2006 02:12 AM

My husband's scooter wasn't even that big and was heavy as hell. Most of the weight was the battery.
