Thanks to those that contributed to the care package I sent to Iraq

I collected quotes, notes/letters, penpal requests and stories!!! The package went out a few days late, but it's en route!!! Thanks to all that sent letters. You will all get you own soldier as I sorted them individually! :thumbsup

Any of you can help at www.anysoldier.com

I'll be sending another in about 2 months after I pull another community drive for goods. See ya then! :winkwink:

LittleMack 06-01-2006 04:02 PM

Let me know, will contribute the next time you send.

Mr. Soul 06-01-2006 04:05 PM

Wow that should make them feel better as they're murdering little kids and pregnant women to make Dick Cheney's stock portfolio go through the roof. You're a real patriot.

Let me know the next time you're sending one and I'll take a shit in a box.

Fuck the troops. Following orders is no excuse for committing war crimes.

They only difference between what troops did in Vietnam and what they're doing in Iraq is that during the 60's and 70's the media tried to tell us the truth about what was going on. Now they do everything possible to hide the reality of the situation.

Yet you don't have the balls to go there yourself. I'm fucking shocked.

I didn't send them there, and it's not a stance on war.... I'm helping the people that were sent over there, end of subject. People I know got called back after they were done with their service before the war, because of some military shit I'm not familiar with and people are losing their sons, daughters, husbands, wives, etc. I'm just trying to make them more comfortable. It's not my fault a small percentage of asswipes made our country look foolish by doing foolish things.

Insult removed, not worth my time.

NTSS 06-01-2006 04:15 PM

I support the troops but they need you to write to the legislators more than they need care packages.

I voted democratic the past two presidential elections....did you?

Attention you heartless fuckhead. These men and women who joined up to the armed services to protect our country and also that very hatred you just spewed forth deserve a bit more respect than that. Nobody condones killing kids or pregnant women even during war unless absolutely necessary at that very instant, though soldiers need to follow orders and discipline and complaints can be handled as needed. One need not support the war, yet we should support those that are willing to fight for us if need arises.

Casualties and fatalities happen in war, many unjust and undeserving. War profiteering has always gone on as well. This alone though is never reason to throw aside those that enlist in our countries armed forces. You have every right to speak out as you did, thanks of course to many fallen troops who were just following orders. Yet show some compassion and if you hate what is going on so much get out and do something about it.

Jesus, there are bad apples in every bunch and if there are soldiers not acting according to the Geneva Convention then they deserve punishment. 99.9 percent of the military is good people. I served for three years myself and support our troops...sometimes things are not the best situations but I thank God everyday for their duty.

I do not support the war.

That also is to many dead civilians in my opinion. (not doubting the numbers).
Nobody is stopping anyone from sending them stuff though now are they?

Sadam Hussein did it over a 20 year period. Bush has taken 3. Have I put it in context for you? America reckons another 4 years in there so Bush will soon overtake Sadam

Well why dont we send stuff to the Iraqis that we are over there liberated as opposed to the troops who are being fed by Haliburton.

Supporting troops who fight in illegal wars is not the right thing to do. It's not like these are soviet soliders during WWII who either run towards the enemy or get shot by their own commanders. These people have a choice. It's their obligation not to commit war crimes, even if they are ordered to do so. I have no compasion for people who go to Iraq to kill innocent civilians, no matter what excuse they give. If I were in the military I would go to jail before letting them send me overseas to kill poor people. Many brave US soldiers have done just that. You probably haven't heard about it though, because it doesn't fit the media's pretty little package.

Thank You...... I do not support the war, I did not vote for Bush. I had a friend die in the war from a 10 year old shooting him (per 2 soldiers in his company).

I donate to many things from veterans, to animal refuges, to the homeless and everything in between. I even donated to the Tsunami auction the adult industry pulled together and they never cashed my check or gave me the item I won the bid on, so I just re-wrote a check on my own.

It's crazy that people bash anyone that tries to help people.

There has not been 100,000+ civilians killed during the last three years...there are many which sucks and I hate...but not 100,000.

angeleyes 06-01-2006 04:37 PM

Jesus Christ, sorry for even posting this and I'm glad I didn't post all the names of the highly regarded GFY posters that sent letters, I'll take the heat. Whatever..... It's just one of many things I do for a variety of reasons. This one sparked after my friend was killed.

You don't like it, don't write a letter.

I'm not a bad person for helping out some of our troops, just as I helped with the Firefighter's families after a few Iraqi's killed thousands of our citizens and many brave Firefighters that died trying to save them.

There actually is that many deaths. There is no such thing as a bomb that is precise unless you believe FOX News.

I am sorry for having a go but I think helping the American troops when they are being paid, fed and given beds is a bit rich when our priorities should be in helping the people who they are there to 'liberate'. Organise a send a package to the Iraqi people and I will donate a nice sum of cash.

Not going to get in a pissing match but regardless the message here is that majority of soldiers are good and a small percentage are assholes that deserve what they get for killing civilians. I was in the military and the technology today is geared to less civilian deaths...they do happen. I just want to say Thanks to the Troops and keep your heads up high and we support you. Like I said b4, not a fan of war and it sucks and is tragic in human terms when it happens but once it starts, got to finish it. I hope it ends soon but I see the whole mideast exploding in a few years and many more innocents will die. :(

Please don't let mr "soul" and his fucktard cronies rattle you or your cause. They are too ignorant to realize that this is not the thread to go bashing the war on. The guy comes off as sort of intelligent and educated but when it comes to knowing when to strike and when to shut the fuck up, he's a bonified first class moron.

I wouldn't give him or his fuckheaded view a second thought if I were you. You are doing a good thing in the face of a very shitty situation, end of story.

I didn't contribute on the last one because I'm Canadian, but fuck it, next time you're doing this I'm writing a letter for you to send to a soldier. Maybe two. It's not their fault they are over there, yet they do their best in the face of extreme adversity, and NONE of these fucktards can know what the real truth of it is, sitting behind their fucking idiot computers and spewing retarded hate from their faggy little keyboards.

Next send, count me in.

nastynun 06-01-2006 04:50 PM

Hey arm chair warriors YOU are HELPING the Iraqi people RIGHT? If your not for helping the troops and you claim that the Iraqi people should be helped; then I just KNOW you already have been helping out by sending items they need for every day living.

And like Angeleyes who is helping the troops you all have helped the Iraqi people by sending care packages, letters, toys, school books, etc RIGHT?

Riiiiiiiiiiightttt... :thumbsup

Why should you help them anyway? I can see it if it was WW2 and they were in France fighting Nazis.. who are they fighting now? Terrorists? bwah.. what ever? Should government take care of aid and ?support?? Its not like its Israel where military is mandatory..
PS: save that ?serve your country? for ghetto or redneck population

I do not know if you have read above,,,,I am not in support of the war...you can look at Rawanda and other places where these happen and nothing is done...it is a tragedy. I am not a hypocrite and did not include the other areas...for that I am sorry

Oh bullshit, its not anti-war its common sense. Ms. Rice spews shit about freedom of speech, oppression in Chechnya while thousands of people around the world being pushed around by ?heroes? from US forces? Get a grip?

CDSmith 06-01-2006 05:04 PM

When I was a kid and away at summer camp for 2 weeks I remember being happy as a pig in shit to get a letter from home one day. I can only imagine what getting a letter means to some of those troops over there who have been choking on sand for 6 months, a year, 3 years etc.

All bullshit aside, Angeleyes is doing a good thing. Anyone who says different is a complete fucktard.
