Hard to believe people feel the need to shit all over something that is obviously a great thing. Fact is most people these days agree that the war is a piece of shit, but why crap all over this thread?

I guess there's no accounting for idiocy.

Actually many of them are sleeping on dirt with a thin blanket. I have several penpals and still some of the friend of mine that was killed by a KID with a machine gun. And the meals..... those are prepacked non luxury foods, I had to eat them after the Hurricane hit because we had no power, water, etc. Most of these posts don't have "mess tents" set up with hot food. I was married to a military person..... they don't make as much money as you think they do, it's the government that wastes it all on 500.00 toilet seats......

And I support anyone that wants to send items to Iraqi people. Find me an address and a group of Iraqi's that can speak English, because I sure as hell can't write a letter in their language and I'd be happy to send it along. :2 cents:

AND FOR THE LAST TIME THIS IS NOT AN "I SUPPORT THE WAR THREAD" BECAUSE I DON'T.

I'm writting letters to the soldiers in Uzbekistan who boil people alive to extract information for this so called war on terror. Would you like to contribute? They're just following orders, just because they're committing war crimes doesn't make them bad people. Right?

nice work Angel

:thumbsup

Everytime an american citizen berates the government/military they are inadvertanly thanking every soldier/marine/sailor/airman who has ever served for protecting the freedoms and rights of our country.

Relish XXX 06-01-2006 05:23 PM

OK I have an idea. Why dont we set up a service to get Iraqis and the people who are anti war talking via letters? Think about what that would do for peace if the Iraqis realised that the people and the soldiers didnt want to be there and the only reason they were was because of George Bush.

We could also send them food and blankets. After all we have blown up their houses and killed their relatives.

marketsmart 06-01-2006 05:26 PM

fuck iraq and the people of iraq... and for that matter fuck pres bush and all his cronies (including corporate america)... war is war... innocent people die... thats just the way it is... has happened in every war... you try living in a place where at any moment you could be blown up, kidnapped, or sniped... then tell me you wouldnt be a little trigger happy...

i dont support the war, but i do support my fellow americans who are their serving and risking their 100%....

Read up a few posts, I would be happy to send letters to a group of or families of Iraqi's if they can read English because I can not write in their language, but I would not write about Bush, I would talk about happier things--for the same reason I don't bring up politics with my penpals over there or my beliefs, who I voted for or bash anyone. And I'm sure the same community that provided items for the US soldiers would contribute to that cause as well. Don't lump all people together as being monsters.

Well Dunn 06-01-2006 05:29 PM

Noone is stopping you from doing that relish. The american troops over there right now already do alot for the communities they are in as far as charity goes. I know your comment wasnt serious though, and you could care less one way or another. So I am just going to ignore you for now, since your just trying to get a reaction here.

Dont bother getting into it with him, your doing a good deed, dont let tards like him bring you down. Keep up the good work.

kanalj 06-01-2006 05:35 PM

the care packages are a good idea, that's exactly what they need down there to keep their heads straight. think about it, you are pretty much isolated from the rest of the world doing your duty. at some point you will go fucking crazy, some kind words go a long way.

CDSmith 06-01-2006 05:37 PM

Just end this thread, it was not a political one and not the first or last cause I will invlove myself in. ~ Goodnight GFY. I hope all of you have a good one.

One last note: I rarely give money to homeless people, but I'll pick them up the food(s) of their choice, (take them into the grocery store to pick it out themselves) who has a problem with that? :Oh crap

I am actually not trying to get a reaction. My sister works for Oxfam and spends her life helping out people. She has probably been in more war zones than most American troops. You want to talk about helping the TRUE people had need it I am in.

Well Dunn 06-01-2006 06:25 PM

haha its not about helping, what cant you understand about that. Its about caring, and appreciation. These troops could get by just fine without penpals and care packages, but it makes it that much easier for them to be thousands of miles away from their families. BTW your sister does not mean you, I know plenty of friends and family who served in iraq, but I dont speak on their behalf because it wasnt me. Take some notes from your sister and do something useful for the world, instead of posting on the internetn all the fucking time like its going to make the world a better place.

nico-t 06-01-2006 06:46 PM

dont hate on the soldiers, most of em are peeps who were either poor without chance on other jobs or were naive 'patriots' blinded by the government propaganda..... i bet they hate the US gov even more then the rest of the world does once they come face to face with reality when theyre in iraq.

Dont hate the soldiers, hate the government who is sacrificing lives for money. Like every war.
