Lebron James Shines Bright ... Admit He Is Better Than Kobe This Year?
 

Most people would never believe it. The Cleveland Cavs have made their first second round playoff apearence since 1992. Lebron James is the reason why. He has completely taken over the playoffs. He leads the NBA in scoring during the playoffs. Has shot 2 game winning shots, has broken 15 franchise records and the list goes on.

Kobe has had that one game winning shot but his numbers do not compare and Lebron has dominated more games than he has. This is not a hate Kobe thread, I think he has mad skills and is one of the best players in the league but he isn't playing as good as Lebron. Thats why the MVP is not in his grasp.

Oh yeah .. Lebron is only 21.

Lets post some stats to prove it.

Lebron and the Cavs = #4 seed in the east. 3rd best record.
Kobe and the Lakers = #7 seed in the west. 7th best record.

Kobe scores a lot, he is a ball hog. Kobe gets teammates involved, he isn't scoring enough....Lebron doesn't score points, points aren't important....Lebron scores a lot of points, the numbers are important...

Kobe could easily lead the playoffs in scoring....

3rd in the East is just about equivalent to 7th in the west this year. If you think the East is better now, then you must be high Adam. Look at the overall West vs East games this year, the West had more than a 2-1 winning margin. With teams like Atlanta, New York, Toronto and Charlotte, the East is still far off from being equivalent to the West.

Age wise, LeBron is way better than Jordan at his age. LeBron's only going to be the same age Jordan was when he came in the league...this upcoming season.

Explain how Lebron is better. The Cavs are stacked with players. Kobe has one other good player on his team and he showed up half of the year. The West is harder. Kobe pretty much carried his team on his own to a 7th seed while scoring the most points in a game since Jordan in 87. He also had a 81 point game, 62 point game. Many 50+ games and lots of 40+ games and being in the top 10 in steals and like 1-1.5 behind Lebron in rebounds and assists. Plus he's a good defensive player while Lebron is a defensive liability.

He said as far as coming up with the big play at the right moment Kobe is...but as we've seen the past month, that's changing. LeBron's had 4 game winners, 2 in the playoffs and serveral game winning assists.

And I didn't say LeBron is (better) right now, I said what Pippen said...in the context he said it. LeBron's "GOING" to be better...and he already is when you compare him and Jordan at the same ages.

and LeBron or any great scorer could have done what Kobe did this season, if they took as many shots as him. If LeBron took that many shots...he would have averaged more PPG than Kobe.

Well I wasn't sure on the numbers for rebounds and assists and I still am not. I know at one point earlier in the year it was between 1 and 1.5.

And his defense is only getting better. In the past 3 seasons LeBron is the is averaging more steals/blocks per game than Bryant...oh yeah...and that was as an 18-21 year old.
