What will be the response of the West when the Vatican is attacked?

What will be the response of the West when the Vatican is attacked?
All analysts agree that the Vatican is probably one of the next target...
After all, al qaeda considers the Vatican "as a world center of heresy"

Jakke PNG 07-25-2005 07:58 AM

I'll read my quran again so I know what to say when the liberators ask me tricky questions to see if I'm a true believer.

alexg 07-25-2005 08:00 AM

I think the response of the west will be: "Damnnnn! Jesus Christ!"

The Vatican army will invade Iran!

Paco, of Large Cash. 07-25-2005 08:08 AM

I will view it no differently than rival gangs going at it. I just hope they wipe each other out!

I would love to see all religions (excluding Buddhism, as it is the only of 'true' worth) simply destroyed.

(For those that believe the papacy is a good thing: educate yourself and read what happened between Christians and the Muslims, around 1080-something ... oh yah, you will notice there is no mention Bush. Yes, he is a bastard, but for other reasons. This war, in my eyes, is his retribution.)

wedouglas 07-25-2005 08:10 AM

the response wil be their God coming down and fucking up Mecca. Then our god will fight allah in a massive battle in Tokyo. I imagine both gods will be several hundred feet tall.

With a statement like this you are no better than the muslim extremists, or conservative christians.

I have so much respect for people of different religion. I will never wish harm to anyone because of differences in beliefs.

eroswebmaster;

man alive did I have you pegged incorrectly.

Many throw that word out (TERRORIST), usually devoid of meaning. I see it for what it is: a last line of defense, used by the unfettered lambs of an obsolete outdated and WAY out of context set of social standards, edited and reedited, simply to fit various prophets fancy: [I]He did so ?I mean it, God (or the bastard known as Jesus) spoke to me, while I was eating blue-green mushrooms, behind the tent..

Terror
violence (as bombing) committed by groups in order to intimidate a population or government into granting their demands <insurrection and revolutionary terror>

:1orglaugh that's the cherry of a typical GFY reply: If you were to take five and G00g that shit so to familiarize yourself with FUCKING HISTORY, you maybe would have provided a valid response, not 'you a doo-doo head' - one of pure ignorance (without knowledge) - but that quality of retort was expected.

Care to explain what makes me a terrorist ? ?

Alternatively, maybe I touch a little too close to the religious home base.

Or, did yah merely pick the wrong word?

What do you even KNOW about religions; and the history of?

The Muslims and Christians have been at it for nearly one-dmillennia (but you knew that ... right), and they will continue to do this so long as they remain.

And the fucking Papacy (as with the Muslims and other Christians) had one purist intention, CONVERT OR DESTROY.

Don?t even get me started on the sainted Christian ? half the motherfuckers are murders! Just like the Muslims: from murder to martyr.

Simple research would have provided a valid response.

So now, I ask you ... do you even know the definition of terrorism (?) ... or was the typical backed-into-a-corner-come-out-swinging-cause-I-have-no-real-defense type of response? (Most likely.)

that would mean a War, i guess.

AcidMax 07-26-2005 05:58 AM

You are all concentrating on what the U.S. would do, sure we would still help fight the war, we are already there. I think the better answer would be, that you will see MANY more european countries getting back into the war on terrorism and Al-Qaeda. While many people love the pope, there are many more from Europe that beieve much more in him, imho. Look at the turn out during Pope John Paul's mass.

I do believe it will be a holy war, and I do believe things will be escalated, but I also think it will be the end of Al-Qaeda, sort of all vs 1.

Paco - the religious zealot (there's a word that gets thrown around a lot - most dont know its actually the name of a group of Jewish terrorists in 66 AD that used primitive chemical warfare against the Romans poisoning their wells and granaries) movement has been around since people had two different views or belief systems - it is (in my opinion anyway) the one thing that has sparked more killing, terror and torture than any other one source in the worlds' history.
The pope calling for the annihilation of all Muslims, the Thugs in India killing upwards of 1 mill people to use as sacrafices to Kali (Hindu) by strangulation, the numerous protestant, catholic, sikh, jewish and even the white supremists who have an obsession with achieving the religious and racial purification of the United States - no matter where you look they all have a religious reason that they tout for their terrorism.
Will it stop just because someone attacks the Vatican? Nahhh - there are too many religions out there that have their own sets of beliefs and are willing to die for them - in the US right now there are over 100 groups - some with over 50,000 members that (remember the Michigan Militia?) believe "there is a battle being fought this day between the children of darkness (today known as Jews) and the children of light (God), the Aryan race, the true Israel of the Bible".
That quote btw is from the Aryan Nations "guidebook" and goes on " As His divine race, we have been commissioned to fulfill His divine purpose and plans..." and they are armed to the teeth to accomplish it. If you doubt their committment to it - a while back a grand jury indictment showed theat they wanted to "carry out assassinations of federal officials, politicians and Jews, as well as bombings and polluting of municipal water supplies. Any doubts of their seriousness of purpose were dispelled when police and federal agents raided a white supremacist compound in rural Arkansas in April 1984, and discovered a stockpile of some 30 gallons of cyanide to be used for this purpose"

Roy B. Masker has explained how Aryan Nations members "are in disobedience to our Father and God, Yahweh, for allowing the Nation He gave us to become the mongrelized cesspool in which we now find ourselves .... Indeed, it is incumbent upon us to BUILD A NEW, ALL-WHITE NATION! We are under command to do so! All scripture demands it! ," Masker concludes with the admonition, "Woe to those who stand in the way of the Aryan juggernaut"

Sound familiar? Seems to be the exact same thing the people promoting the Muslim faith have done
Very few people in the US are aware of most of the attacks that have happened on US soil - from the poisoning in Oregon as followers of the Bagwhan Rajneesh did to influence a local election to the Attacks on power grids and attempts to disrupt electrical power to large population areas such as Fuqra did in Colorado or the Dispersal of toxic chemicals through internal building ventilation systems such as white supremacists attempted in Arizona.

Also seems the media has been a little lax at reporting stuff since I'd be willing to bet most Americans dont even know about these other terrorist attacks - only the stuff that the government wants you to know about since it conflicts with their religion is ever allowed on mainstream news.

Linkster 07-26-2005 06:12 AM

Acidmax - the biggest problem that most Americans have is that they think Al-Qaeda is the biggest terrorist group out there and that all our efforts should be concentrated on them - unfortunately thats just what the press has been told to do - and it makes for good politics. The reality is that there are hundreds of thousands of terrorists living in the US that are ready to do a lot more than kill a few thousand people in two buildings. Why doesnt anyone talk about it? Simple - they dont want their religious views being exposed as being the cause of the organization of these other terror groups. Its a real shame we censor so much already and even worse - that Americans allow it to happen.

I have no doubt about that in my mind at all. I am sure there are much bigger terrorist groups out there. I "assumed" they were talking about Al-Qaeda and well I would say the biggest threat of an attack on the vatican by a terrorist organization would be Al-Qaeda or a group that has close ties to Al-Qaeda.

I would be interested to learn more about these if you have a list I can do some googling. I am definitely not the foremost expert on terrorism, but would love to learn more about these other groups just for my own knowledge.

(EDIT)BTW: Hope you are feeling better.

Have a good one!

Major (Tom) 07-26-2005 06:30 AM

well the vatican only is significant for catholics. america is largley a protestant nation. sure it will cause shit, but the vatican isnt as heralded here as it is in other nations. Let all these holy rollers wipe each other out. this may not be a bad thing.

duke

TheLegacy 07-26-2005 06:58 AM

America wouldnt care since it didnt happen on their soil. bush simply would have more ammunition to ask for another few billion dollars more to stop terrorism. NOTHING outside of an attack on american soil really affects the west.

Remember, 11% of american kids between 18 to 25 cant even find their own friggin country on a map !!!!!!

Linkster 07-26-2005 07:01 AM

Umm - I believe that your facts are a little wrong on the number of people in religions
Of course this is around 2002 data and only has the top 10:

1 Catholic Church 66,407,105
2 Southern Baptist Convention 16,400,000
3 United Methodist Church 8,251,042
4 Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 5,503,192
5 Evangelical Lutheran Church in America 5,038,066
6 Church of God in Christ 5,000,000
7 Presbyterian Church 3,595,259
8 National Baptist Convention of America 3,500,000
9 Assemblies of God 2,687,366
10 Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod 2,512,714

Paco, of Large Cash. 07-26-2005 07:19 AM

Linkster ... WOW, thank you for the reply - not many people are (not want to be) wise to that which you know.

Sadly enough, people are easily recruited. It seems life itself is not enough, people feel they must have a mission of greater purpose. (What is grander than life?)
Instead, they send their children out to do their bidding, filling them with empty hopes of becoming part of something great, which in turn is the evil they attempt to protect themselves from ? it has exceeded ironic. Ignorant people with blind faith are terrifying.

"Woe to those who stand in the way of the Aryan juggernaut"
One could easily replace 'Aryan' with more or less the name of any other religion, and each one equally as scary, and various levels.

Sound familiar? Hell yah, and that is what I have been trying to point-out, in a few threads, but it seems not many of the GFY members have the knowledge, or even worse, want to hear the entire truth, only the variations that suit their needs or beliefs.

Thank you Linkster; I believe this is the one, if not the first threads that I can walk away from satisfied. Your input was greatly appreciated ? and thanks for not calling me a doo-doo head or terrorist :thumbsup

As far as the organizations in this country that are actively pushing for the overthrow of the govt and the killing off of anyone not "Christianly white" you could probably start with
http://www.mipt.org/Terrorism-in-the-United-States.asp which has links to all of the FBI yearly reports of domestic terror attacks and threats - they are huge reports though :)

Also - to give you an idea of what they put out to their members - natvan dot com is a good example - its one of the larger organizations (didnt want to give them a linkback LOL)

First off - I have no agenda - as a matter of fact I happen to agree with some of natvans programs - just not where they came from. I can understand that some might look at the white-washed (pun not intended) version that they put out now-a-days for publicity reasons. I also know what they came from back when they were the nat. youth alliance and published "attack". Just because they have this clean appearence now doesnt mean their ideology (pretty well documented in Turners "diary") isnt the same. Remember this is just my opinion and the nice thing (as docemented in their own "free speech") is that I am entitled to my opinion and to voice it publicly.
