As far as I can tell, there's a huge percentage less lazy and fat bastards who sit in their trailer and drink beer while watching nascar on tv, so it kind of depends how you define superiority. Japanese are well ahead in technology, monks in tibet have much higher 'spiritual englightment' than your average priest... but I don't think one can compare the whole of asia with the whole of western world...and it really does depend on how you want to measure superiority (you probably want to measure it some way where YOUR culture is superior. ie. military power). :)

I can only speak about UK culture and can confidently say that Asian people can be very astute business people and tend to be very succesful through school, careers and business.

Parents to Asian children often push there children very hard through school and refuse to accept failure.

The philosophy they adopt is very much a working lifestyle and certainly in this country, it is a common joke about the number of newsagents, garages, grocery shops etc. that they own.

The above comments probably relate to Indian & Pakistani people mainly but I think you can look at some of the Asian countries (China, Japan etc.) and to see that there economy is strong and that they are doing something right.

In answer to the question there is no superior race really, its more about individuals that excel at certain things.

Btw, Filipino's aren't asian. they are closer to being Latin due to the Spanish rule. On US forms I fill out Pacific Islander, which we truly are.

Last time I was in Alabama, these guys with pointy hats told me that white people are the superior race.

This is very true... Asian parents put alot of emphasis on education and ensuring that their children are prerpared for the real world and do they not accept failure very well.

Filipinos are asians..they are part of south east asia..please check your map...if the Philippines belongs to the category of Pacific Islander..then I suppose they should not be a member of ASEAN(Association of Southeast Asian Nation) but they are..because they are a southeast asian country..

I think you guys are just arguing semantics. My wife is Filipino. Like a lot of Filipinos she has some "western" features like level eyes etc., and her father was of pure spanish descent.

Filipinos were originally of all Asian origin, but when the Spanish conquered the island they did so much fucking that you have to go out to the jungle to find a "pure" filipino. :thumbsup

Sure we do. I guess I got more mestizo blood than you do. My mothers maiden name is Eusebio, her mother's maiden name is Bautista. This is not uncommon, we are very spanish and have latin blood. I myself didn't take this into consideration till last year when the Philipine Ambassador to he U.S.A. brought it up during a speech at an event I attended.

When you spend some time in the PI you quickly notice 3 looks, clearly there is a latin look, an asian look and a native look... At least I picked up on it fast while I was there...and I was drunk as hell most of the time... :)

Love that culture, a lot of genuinely nice people... I saw an article recently on 'why' the PI culture is so happy/friendly, pretty interesting read...

Well, check your map too!! It is called Philippine Islands because it is an archipelago.. Go to Philippines and ask every Filipino there..and they'll say they are Asians because thay are part of southeast asia.. why do you keep on insisting that Filipinos are Pacific Islanders..just because we are composed of a group of islands that lie on the Pacific doesn't make us Pacific Islanders..anyway, not that I mind...but I just don't want people to have the wrong idea that we are not Asians...
