MARCH TGP SPECIAL: Complete design for $35

Howdy folks,
For the next 5 days I will be offering full TGP designs for $35 USD. Design will include logo/header as well as any gallery tables you want (Today's, Yesterday's, etc.). Add $40 for a custom cartoon logo. I'm headed up to Canada the latter part of this month and need some spending money. I currently accept both Epassporte and Paypal.

For those of you who don't know me, I run TGPFactory.com. I will include some samples of my work below, but feel free to check out my complete 2005 portfolio online at http://clients.tgpfactory.com/Complete/

To order fill out the form at http://www.tgpfactory.com/order.php and make a note in the Additional Details section of "GFY $35 Sale". Any questions/comments can be noted here or sent to ICQ#250-142-484, AIM "Grumble"

Cheers :)

$15? Gallery templates are more expensive than that. I think $35 is more than fair :)

Absolutely, I never claim to be top-notch $250 TGP's by Fletch or Orchid or AlienQ or similar designers. They have years of experience and a wealth of creativity ahead of me yet :)

Sosa 03-07-2005 12:15 PM

Was taken from a Jefferson Film Festival or something or other web site.. found it on Google :)

As for the thumbs, you don't mean insert the actual gallery links / thumbs do you? If you browse my portfolio I do put in blank thumbs and text links, leave the rest to the client as far as setting up Comus or AutoGallery, etc.

Thanks .
My work is still in need of alot more , Im still learning myself .
Alot of what is in my portfolio I wish I didnt have to have there but I have alot of newer stuff ready to add in the next few weeks when I have the time .

Ill start with the first one up top .
I see ebony .. blob

The video shack is pretty much illegible .
I don't know if you realised what you typed above , but basically you took someones work and placed it in the site , innocently obviously as the fact that you posted it here shows you didnt know better , But ya can't do that .
Grab some stock photos , join an exchange that works on a credit basis and get royality free images from there or use 3d as I see you do 3d ..
you couldve easily made a 3d film reel rather than riskin problems using other peoples work .

the customer that puts that " jefferson film festival " film reel on thier site is in for a Cease and desist eventually .

The bevels on the top two for " bookmark .. " are making the text hard to read and adding artifacts to the M in both designs , not to mention they are both based of the same template . Bevels , embosses , outerglows etc only look good if they are adding to the text , not taking away from it , I am a horrible offender of this myself and once you see my update in 2 -3 weeks you'll see I have done alot to correct it over the last few months . They if you look at your design you'll see they muck up they text , and add a few extra colours to the design should you want to save as gif to get the designs really light in file size .

The toon on the second one really looks to be standing up , but shes on her side .

I like you're use of colour , with the exception of the top one , it just doesnt seem " ebony " to me at all .

With all that said .
You're work is worth what you are asking , and anyone to say that $35 isnt a deal for that work ( cept the film festival part ) is wrong .

BUT , I think if you spent about 2 times the time you spent on these , and you would come up with a better product and be able to charge 4x more ;)

Dynamix 03-07-2005 11:47 PM

Thanks for the input :)

As far as the film reel goes I was searching for ages on Corbis and ShutterFly and couldn't come up with anything. My 3D skills are meek at best, so I scoured the internet for one to use. Found it at an organization's web site (non-profit from best I could see) and assumed there would be risk involved. Finding stock images these days is rather tough, at least in the realms I tend to search for.

I also noticed the gloss artifacts and changed the style on my subsequent designs.

The color scheme for Ebony Video Shack was the client's idea and I'm actually fond of it, sorry it doesn't catch your eye ;)

As far as the toon it was originally standing up lol, haven't heard from my cartoonist who's drawing a new one, in which she'll look "sexier."

Thanks much for your criticism, I'll certainly take it to heart. Can't wait to see the portfolio additions
