$800 a month Sushi habit.
3 years ago I had never tasted Sushi. Mike D from SoulCash (who is bigger than me) forced me to eat some raw tuna, and salmon. Sushi was fine but it's a fuckin' scam. They fill you up with rice. That's their dirty little secret.
So I moved on to the not so popular, Sashimi. And now my monthly Yamakawa Sashimi bill is nearly $800 a month. How the fuck did this get so out of hand? I never spent more than $60.00 a month on ANY restaurant or fast-food. And now here I am dropping at least $100.00 every time I go. And I don't even feel the desire to stop. That's what scares me. I think I may get Ginger Root poisoning. I eat 2 or 3 bowls of ginger during my sashimi sessions. I eat there so much, the chef is now giving me complimentary orders of Sashimi. It's nice to go in on a saturday evening and get special attention from the sushi chef... but it comes with a healthy price tag. They even gave me a free shirt, and they have NEVER given them out to ANYONE, they don't even sell them. Getting that shirt is like getting the medal of honor. My order is just about to become a special on the menus. "Oh, I'll have the 'RedShoe', please" Is this the advantage of earning more money? Do I stand to loose my money by letting it go to my head? This is fuckin' ridiculous, I need to stop. By the way, if anyone ever wants to meet me in Toluca Lake for a round of Sashimi... just let me know. Thanks, MikeD :Oh crap |
i spend about about the same on sushi every month
|
i dont eat sushi, i smoke a lot of weed though :1orglaugh
|
I just cannot eat that stuff. Maybe I haven't gone to the right place yet.
|
$800 :eyecrazy
How much does it cost to hire a chef... and come to your home to cook every weekend? |
Mike knows his sushi, he taught me a few things!
|
$800 a month is not hard to do, what's harder is explaining one weekend's sushi bill on your government expense report and actually getting reimbursed for it. :1orglaugh

No. You just haven't had a 250 pound 6'6" webmaster squeezing the back of your neck with one hand and forcing raw fish down your throat with the other. I would have never tasted it in a million years, but peer pressure is a bitch. |
awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
800$ that is fucking to much you realy need to stop
800$ I make shopping a lot of clothes and have money left over for pizza :winkwink: :food-smil |

|
i love sushi
sushimi is a little 2 much for me |
$800?? wow - that's a lot - i just treat myself to Koi every month or so :)
anyway, maybe you should take a sushi making class and start buying raw fish at Bristol Farms or somewhere like that....probably way cheaper and fun as well especially with a chick. |
I'm a sushi fiend. I wish I could afford it - I'd live on the stuff. :(

$800?? hun, wtf are you doing?? LOL :Oh crap
|
You could eat 4 pizzas a day for that money! :)
|
800 is not that hard to spend on sushi
i go out maybe once or twice a month for sushi, it is easily 75-100 bucks per meal..assuming you bring someone with you. Hook up with a korean person, they will get you the special prices ;) |
My wife and I always go every week for the early bird deal. The place we go to is real nice but from 4-6 it's real cheap so we can pig out for around 50-60 bucks. (that includes the beers and tip)
Cheap meaning $1 nigiri or sashimi $3 rolls and the chef knows us well so it's not just shit rolls, but good stuff. |
:thumbsup
Mike......... |
Sashimi is also my favorite. Last spring I went Deep sea fishing in Charleston, Sc..I went with some friends and we brought our local sushi chef, we caught a large wahoo and he cut it up right there and we had fresh sashimi! He actually brought a little soy sauce and ginger...kinda weird eating some raw fish and it's still there flapping away.

LGF earnings out tomorrow :winkwink:

I love sashimi too.
For those who think it's nasty, give it a shot. It's an acquired taste though, and a very expensive one at that too. |

$800? What are you doing, snorting it? I love sushi too, but I think you need an intervention.

I can eat as much sushi as I want :pimp
Doesn't cost me a dime...how? The restaurant owner is a good friend of mine who I made a website for! |
And I thought I was bad back when I had a 300 a month drug habit.
