They even gave me a free shirt, and they have NEVER given them out to ANYONE, they don't even sell them. Getting that shirt is like getting the medal of honor. My order is just about to become a special on the menus. "Oh, I'll have the 'RedShoe', please"

Is this the advantage of earning more money? Do I stand to loose my money by letting it go to my head? This is fuckin' ridiculous, I need to stop.

By the way, if anyone ever wants to meet me in Toluca Lake for a round of Sashimi... just let me know.

Sushi is sooo damn addicting, if you ever in NYC you gotta try Tomoe on st marks in the village. This is probally the best sushi youll every have, tiny little place that you have to wait forever to get into, but its sooo worth it. They opened this place down the street from me that has 2 former chefs from Nobu in NYC, this place is the bomb for a nj sushi joint

Capitola has Paradise sushi... where you can order the satan roll which is by far the hottest thing I have ever eaten... i take people there tell them its hot they say I like hot... the chef tells them you dont want to order this they say fuck that i am a stud.. they eeact on peice and you can watch them turn red break out in real sweat and watch the water pour from their eyes.. Stuntpig and kc can back me up on this. Anyway the real menu is not on the menu and i have several rolls I have made and named.. my favorite is the million dollar roll... its ebi hamachi cilantro mango basil mac nuts tobiko and secret sauce. i love to go there and order a million dollars please and then pay $4.00 for it hahahahha.

Anyway I have eten suhi all over the world and this little place by my house is the best hands down I have had so far !

Here $14 CAD gets you all the sashimi you can eat, including my favorite, wild pacific sockeye (no bullshit low quality farm salmon). I usually have 30 pieces in addition to everything else I eat...

This is the lunch special though, for dinner it's $22. Going every day would put me at $600/mo CAD :)

what is sashimi exactly? i used to buy "sashimi grade" tuna steaks but i thought sashimi just meant its so fresh you dont have to cook it and you wont get sick. its the best tuna you can get and now i wont eat anything else.

It is the fish slices minus the rice ball or seaweed. Ussually served on a plate with some of that shredded japanese radish stuff, ginger and wasabi.

When I was living in San Diego I'd say I spent about the same - easy $800 - $1000 per month. Use to take people there for lunch and dinner almost on a daily basis! They ALL knew me! Saki John, the main chef - used to hook me up EVERY TIME!

The place is called the Sushi House and it's near Encenitas ... best seafood salad with all kinds of sashimi, shrimp, octopus, cucumbers and special sauce! MMMMMM GOOD!

Also LOVE the Albacore Special Roll and the Crunchy Roll with Tempura Shrimp and Eel sauce ... sure the rice fills you up .. so what? The rolls are off the fuckin' chain! :winkwink:
