These Fucks are already at it (ellectons)

I registered to vote on the last day you could in my state. I personally handed it to the mail man. I asked him if I needed to hand carry it somewhere or if giving it to him was ok. He assured me that it was ok to give to him.

I just went to vote and I'm not on any of the lists so I had to do a provisional ballot and won't know if my vote was counted for several days.

While I was there there were 5 other people that also had some sort of problem that their name wasn't on the list. If Bush wins again becouse of this BS I'm going to go blow something up I swear to god.

TheLegacy 11-02-2004 08:39 AM

sorry to hear that... I am always amazed that america is suppose to be the most democratic country in the world, yet still cant figure out how to assure a democratic vote

bjjb 11-02-2004 08:40 AM

Being in Florida and after seeing all the shit that went down 4 years ago why the fuck would you wait till the last day to register? Hell you could have even done it online. Maybe you should blow up your fucking computer and get outside more :thumbsup

NY_TIM 11-02-2004 08:44 AM

Yo, Thats exactly what happend to me... I sent my stuff in 2 months ago and now I am not on the list. I was told I could go down to the Board of Elections here in NY and see the judge and tell him what happend and maybe he will let me vote.. Thats bullshit.. The town I live in is Republican and I put down that I was independent so I am sure they "accidentally lost" my registration...

I was already registered I just moved and had forgotten to change my address

Trax 11-02-2004 08:46 AM

It can not be that this is happening again..........................

Alex From San Diego 11-02-2004 08:46 AM

No problem here in California...went in and voted for Bush...

Why did you wait until the last day to register?

Let me guess, you were busy and never got around to it.

The real answer is, you are a procrastinator.

dude lick nuts I already said why.. It dosn't give a shit if I registered on the first day I moved here or the last day that I could. The fact is I registered within the legal amount of time and now I'm not on the list.

sickkittens 11-02-2004 08:50 AM

I was reading earlier how that's already a big problem, especially in PA and FL. WTF?

There are places where you can report it (and I'm not just talking about your local systems).

Yeah, was on the Philly news this morning. 500 voters weren't registered. They hadn't filled out their party affiliation on their tickets so the registrations weren't counted.

An attorney sued yesterday over it and took it to court last night and now all 500 people are allowed to vote today. They've gotta bring photo ID's with them.

They didn't say, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it was.

Rochard 11-02-2004 09:13 AM

I too registered on the last possible day. This morning at 6AM went down to vote. Sure enough, they had my wife, but not me. I was on a "special" list of recently added voters.

crockett 11-02-2004 09:16 AM

well at least you were on the other list.. I was no where so my vote probably won't count.

pxxx 11-02-2004 09:18 AM

Bush always tries to find some sort of shit to help him win.

brizzad 11-02-2004 09:19 AM

Is that the best you could come up with?

To answer your question, no I'm not on crack. A matter of fact, I don't indulge in any drugs other than the occasional drink or two.

What is your point in assuming I'm on crack?

Playful_Lady 11-02-2004 09:44 AM

I actually sent in my change of address at the beginning of October.....I sent it directly to the Elections Department and then called to follow up. I'm registered with no problem. Of course I'm voting for Kerry and hopefully Florida won't loose the ballots this year.

adjektiv 11-02-2004 09:55 AM

If you are too stupid to figure out how to vote you don't deserve to. I hope you are attacked by flying chads. Your state is a piece of shit.

ezrydn 11-02-2004 10:16 AM

What a stupid shit. You think handing your registration to the mailman on the last day means you're legally registered? What a putz.

If you were truly aware of it being the last day, were you too fucking lazy to drive over to the Registrar of Voters and hand it to them direct? Or did you just take the word of the mailman?

It's not "when it goes into the care of the US Mail", it's when it's logged at the Registrar's office, dufus.

Whine, whine, I'm so stupid, whine, whine.

I'm an expatriate, living in another country. Do you honestly believe I waited or took the word of the US Consulate that I could give it to them? FUCK NO. You see, it was important to me. Therefore, my registration, ballot, etc, was completed way prior to any deadlines and was shipped via FedEx so I had tracking data. After I learned that it had been delivered, I CALLED them to verify that I had been entered in the rolls.

Hand it to the mailman and take his word?

Give me a fucking break, whiner!

I guess you are too stupid to read. I specifically asked the mail man if I should drive it to the elections office and hand delver it or if it was ok to just have it post marked by that day. He assured me the post mark was all they needed the local news even said it just has to be post marked by that day.

So go deep throat on a big fat hairy or something because I did what I was supposed to do.

ezrydn 11-02-2004 10:24 AM

You just proved, by your own words, my "stupidity" comment.

You relied on the word of the mailman. I guess he's smarter than you are. And, of course, TV news doesn't lie.

I have a freind living here in Toronto that is a FL ex-pat.

He received 3 mail in ballots. I wonder how many other ex-pats received multiples?

:2 cents:

You're (supposedly) in the business and you voted for Bush. That's enough to make anyone assume you're on crack.
