These Fucks are already at it (ellectons)

I registered to vote on the last day you could in my state. I personally handed it to the mail man. I asked him if I needed to hand carry it somewhere or if giving it to him was ok. He assured me that it was ok to give to him.

I just went to vote and I'm not on any of the lists so I had to do a provisional ballot and won't know if my vote was counted for several days.

While I was there there were 5 other people that also had some sort of problem that their name wasn't on the list. If Bush wins again becouse of this BS I'm going to go blow something up I swear to god.

Yo, Thats exactly what happend to me... I sent my stuff in 2 months ago and now I am not on the list. I was told I could go down to the Board of Elections here in NY and see the judge and tell him what happend and maybe he will let me vote.. Thats bullshit.. The town I live in is Republican and I put down that I was independent so I am sure they "accidentally lost" my registration...

No problem here in California...went in and voted for Bush...

Why did you wait until the last day to register?

Let me guess, you were busy and never got around to it.

The real answer is, you are a procrastinator.

I was reading earlier how that's already a big problem, especially in PA and FL. WTF?

There are places where you can report it (and I'm not just talking about your local systems).

Yeah, was on the Philly news this morning. 500 voters weren't registered. They hadn't filled out their party affiliation on their tickets so the registrations weren't counted.

An attorney sued yesterday over it and took it to court last night and now all 500 people are allowed to vote today. They've gotta bring photo ID's with them.

I too registered on the last possible day. This morning at 6AM went down to vote. Sure enough, they had my wife, but not me. I was on a "special" list of recently added voters.

To answer your question, no I'm not on crack. A matter of fact, I don't indulge in any drugs other than the occasional drink or two.

What is your point in assuming I'm on crack?

I actually sent in my change of address at the beginning of October.....I sent it directly to the Elections Department and then called to follow up. I'm registered with no problem. Of course I'm voting for Kerry and hopefully Florida won't loose the ballots this year.

What a stupid shit. You think handing your registration to the mailman on the last day means you're legally registered? What a putz.

If you were truly aware of it being the last day, were you too fucking lazy to drive over to the Registrar of Voters and hand it to them direct? Or did you just take the word of the mailman?

It's not "when it goes into the care of the US Mail", it's when it's logged at the Registrar's office, dufus.

Whine, whine, I'm so stupid, whine, whine.

I'm an expatriate, living in another country. Do you honestly believe I waited or took the word of the US Consulate that I could give it to them? FUCK NO. You see, it was important to me. Therefore, my registration, ballot, etc, was completed way prior to any deadlines and was shipped via FedEx so I had tracking data. After I learned that it had been delivered, I CALLED them to verify that I had been entered in the rolls.

Hand it to the mailman and take his word?

Give me a fucking break, whiner!

I guess you are too stupid to read. I specifically asked the mail man if I should drive it to the elections office and hand delver it or if it was ok to just have it post marked by that day. He assured me the post mark was all they needed the local news even said it just has to be post marked by that day.

So go deep throat on a big fat hairy or something because I did what I was supposed to do.

You just proved, by your own words, my "stupidity" comment.

You relied on the word of the mailman. I guess he's smarter than you are. And, of course, TV news doesn't lie.

You MAILED it on the last day. By the time it got to the office it was too late. That's like mailing your bill payment the day it was due and saying it shouldn't have been counted as late.

American democracy is like syphilis. It's curable but it left untreated it can cause mental disorders, blindness and eventually death.

And this is of course the same democracy America has spread to Afghanistan... wrought with corruption. At least America is consistent.

You relied on the word of the mailman. I guess he's smarter than you are. And, of course, TV news doesn't lie.

LOL.
If the mailman AND tv say it's ok.. how should he have known it wasn't ok? Ask God for directions? Maybe read a lawbook? dumbass.

I kinda tend to believe instructions I hear on tv.

Dunno about US, but in finland if the postal stamp is marked on the 'last day' of whatever, it's counted.

Oh really?....LOL

The Kerrionites are out in full fledge today...

Quick the sky is falling....Bush is anti porn...our jobs and businesses will be in jeopardy....LOL

Give me a break. You know absolutely nothing about me nor do I know anything about you. However by your comments, I can assume and probably be pretty accurate that you don't even know why you voted for Kerry other than the fact that someone here on GFY told you so.....lol

Here is an idea....Use your mind and decipher the information that is readily available and make your decision based on your beliefs and not what someone else tells you in a public forum or because you think it is cool to vote for Kerry or because you like the color of his tie.

To assume I am on crack shows your true intellect.

Regardless of who you or anyone else votes for, I respect your decision because that is why we have this process in place.

To call someone a moron or tell them to rot in hell is a pretty good indication that person is not very stable in their thought process which probably also translates to how they conduct their personal life as well as their business affairs.

Actually no that's not how it was supposed to work here. You guys can jump my bone if you want but I don't give a shit. The News stations and every where I checked said it had to be post marked by Oct 4th. Mine was that is all that counts. I was very specific in checking this out. I didn't plan on registering late but I had just moved up here and had forgoten to do it.

If this was really the problem, then why are others saying, they did theirs eairler and have the same resualt as me? Why did 5 other people have pretty much the same issue as me at the polling office in the small amount of time I was there?

I was there for about 30 mins in that time about 25 to 35 people came in to vote. 5 of those people had voting issues and had to use a provisional ballot. So i guess they were all dumb and didn't register untill the last min too?

Might be so, but as you can see I later corrected the spelling. Hell Bush probably can't even pronounce the word correctly but you want to nag on my nuts for doing a typo when when I was really pissed off.

So what you are saying is your emotions got the better part of you?

Relax...take a deep breath. Everything will be fine. Porn is not going anywhere. As long as you conduct your business as a "BUSINESS" and not some circus for you and your friends to get off on, you won't have anything to worry about regardless of who is President.

With something as important as this, maybe you should not have waited until the last minute.
