jewcash 09-22-2004 05:16 PM

Unlike the NHL, you cannot own a portion of any team and play in the league at the same time. So if he wants to play, thats all he can do.

Lykos 09-22-2004 05:32 PM

I hope it is:)

DIdnt he retire like 10 years ago? lol. im not with it as far as basketball is concerned.

bdld 09-22-2004 08:45 PM

if this is true, i cant wait for the lakers vs heat game christmas day.

Screaming 09-22-2004 08:47 PM

wow he cant stay away from the game huh, well i guess i would get bored and go crazy too

sickkittens 09-22-2004 08:48 PM

Didn't see anything on nba.com or miamiheat.com, doubt I would have anyways.

Rob 09-22-2004 08:49 PM

When you dominate something for so long it's hard just to hang up your hat and walk away. He totally dominated the sport for the longest time and now he's just finding it hard to walk away.

I think it would be a good marriage with him and Shaq in Miami. I wouldn't mind seeing a NBA title come to Florida! :thumbsup

gornyhuy 09-22-2004 08:49 PM

Are you kidding me! i thought he was done for sure after the wizards train wreck.

He was finished 6 years ago. His stint for the Wiz was nothing short of pathetic. Het got owned by every 2-guard and small forward in the league. Only big men and great passers have any success in the NBA past 36-37 years old. Guys who rely on speed and athlecticism are the first ones to fade. Hell, I almost hope he returns. Nothing would be funnier than watching Ground Jordan and a 400 pound motionless gorilla get murdered by 20 every night.

FlyingIguana 09-22-2004 11:04 PM

he should come back to the bulls

if he could fire up curry, the bulls would have the best center in the league

sicone 09-22-2004 11:06 PM

He doesnt need to come back, he was a awesome player in his prime and a decent player just a few years back. But how many times can one man retire from the same sport? As bored as he is, he needs to stick to front office work or even coaching

sickkittens 09-22-2004 11:08 PM

I'd rather watch Rodman comeback over Jordan. :2 cents:

Jordan might be awesome on a team with shaq... he was still doing good with washington but the team was way too bad, he couldn't carry them.

You're storm trooper sig is sweet. And by sweet I mean totally awesome.

boobmaster 09-22-2004 11:19 PM

Jordan is an old man. If he comes back again, I think he will embarrass himself. It is so sad when an athlete doesn't know when it's time .....

In Washington he thought the kids (t-mac or any great current player) would admire him enough to come play with him. Instead he played with all shitty players except rip and he is a terible GM so he traded rip (or had the fake GM do it, whatever). He got no help and still average 21 points per game and people acted like he sucked but I think that was like 5th in the league and he was 40 years old.

Now he sees an oportunity for redemption. Going to Shaq instead of thinking people will come to you. I didnt watch the heat much last year (3 partial games maybe, lol) and the traded away a lot of players, but if the heat can play defense they will do great if MJ actually does it. And Pat Riley will be salivating the whole time and wish he had not retired from coaching after his first loosing season.

It really doesn't matter what Miami does. They won't beat Detroit.

Your stats are a little off. Stackhouse led the team in scoring with 21.5 ppg. Jordan got 20.0. In his last two seasons, he shot 41% and 44% from the field and was a huge defensive liability. If you think he could be anything more than a bench warmer at this point, you're rather optimistic...

Drake 09-23-2004 02:20 AM

I hope this isn't true

if he will comeback maybe some of it will come back :thumbsup

didn't he already do this couple of years back with the washingotn wizards ?

Matt 26z 09-23-2004 03:24 AM

First year with the Wizards he had more PPG than Malone, Garnett, Finley, Marbury, etc... So if Jordan was a joke, then so are these guys.

His PPG was also the same as Norwitzki, and another 3 PPG and he would have been ahead of T-Mac, Duncan and Bryant.

Turnovers per game in 02-03 with WAS were just 2.11, the lowest of his career. So he wasn't getting owned by defenders.

Field goal % his last yaer in CHI was 47%. Last year in WAS was 45%. Again, not exactly getting owned.

This guy is still a force on the court.
