anyone hiring? 6+ years experience in the biz
 

Hello everyone,
I recently lost my job due to Hurricane frances, I was without power for a week, and could not get online. So, I was let go.
I have over 6 years exp in the biz, and can do it all from marketing to server admin. I only lack super graphic design skills.
Generating traffic is my specialty. If anyone has openings, please let me know, I have 2 children and im on the verge of getting my power shut off , what a nightmare when you have little kids..

That really sucks, but like some are saying, you need to say whom it was so they take a dent themselves. If they've given you a nice little severance package, nevermind... if not, why protect them?

That's a real shitty thing for someone to do. For smaller companies I understand how a week could really set them back, but with a natural disaster leeway needs to be given.

Playing the Devil's Advocate here... If the employer also lost everything in the hurricane, and yes that's an assumption, they may have let everyone go. Hurricanes take lives, businesses, and dreams everytime they blow through. :2 cents:

Power doesn't get disconnected for upto 2 - 3 months after failing to make payments.

1. Bill w/ Past Due + Late charges (30d billing + 2w to pay)
2. Notice demanding payment after #1 due date passes.
3. 2nd or Final Notice usually 10 - 14 day deadline
4. Disconnection Notice another deadline.
5. Guy comes out and takes meter offline.

Something is not right...
