Serious Question for the Spammers?
What are you going to do when microsoft releases their new update eliminating most spam?
it's less than a month away. |
It wont do shit
|
link to this?
|
I've heard about it, but I didn't know it's so close to be released.
|
Even more money for the real pros.
|
Expect to see the same filtering that hotmail does then.

It will definetely have a big impact on mailing thats for sure.

I must be missing something?
|
mail direct
|
I think that mail direct will be the thing. Remember that it is mainly the us that has a major issue with it.

The crooks always find a away around everything. Did you hear how the mathmeticians may be close to solving the problem that would basically make most encryption (including bank security) vulnerable?
|
If you think Microsoft is going to eliminate most spam within a month you are crazy
|
Lots of different ways. My mailers generate aim and yahoo accounts with ocr then use those accounts to mail. By doing so landing in the inbox is very easy.

On the heels of the repudiation of Microsoft's Sender ID E-mail-authentication scheme last week by two major open-source software groups, spammers are doing the opposite: They're embracing the very standard intended to curb their abuses. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...c_cmp/47102042 LOL @ people who think microsoft can stop spam |

The register says the same: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/09...tication_spam/ What hydro suggested above might work for smaller amounts I guess but, mailing as we know it today is soon to be gone. Todays mailers are already seing margins/profits that are ridicilous in a "historical" perspective.. So, its not really about stopping it, but profits. |

Over the last month my Spam Can (deleted emails) has been relatively slow, I notice that spam is decreasing as the laws around the world change.
There will always be new innovative concepts to reach the market, there will be tunnels and trap doors around most spam software :2 cents: |

We installed "I Hate Spam" on all our computers and email addresses. Seems to work fine.
The problem with Spam is the business it costs to those who send legitimate mail and newsletters. How many of our Newsletters get blocked, dumped or deleted before the recipient can read them? Cost ing us business and the recipient. The idea of Newsletters is to keep clients and interested people up to date with new products and developements. A lot lose out because of spammers. |
#1 internal mailers arent great..u cant send anywhere near what a regular mailer can push, and require a shitload of accounts..i wouldnt call these much of a solution unless u had one for aol since quantity isnt such a huge issue anymore (since aol is gold)
#2 spf is coming ..and if it works, which i bet it will, its gonna have a huge impact. Dont be fooled by the cockyness. Only a fewmailers/programmers really know what they are doing, and know people who can code something that *could* get arouned new systems. The rest rely on grabbing a free copy of a mailer, loading their proxies and mailing like the other thousands of sheep that do it daily. If you knew what mailing programs were out you would see that 90% of the people all use the same one. When that shit tanks, they will all start to shit themselves. Thre will definitely be some weeding of the smaller mailers..thats for sure...in the end, there will be less spam..there will still be some spam..but less spam |

Dont worry, i know somebody will get around that program. somebody always does, :winkwink:
