Blur the license plates. Anyone can find his address, find the car, get the vin # from it, then call a dealer and get keys made. then the car is stolen. :2 cents:

yes, this happens all the time. alot of the cars you see on forums or on websites featuring car shows always have the plates blurred for a reason.

hova 08-10-2004 06:12 PM

Not my style, that thing on the back is fucking ugly if you ask me...........but it is a fast beast

iwantchixx 08-10-2004 07:41 PM

not bad. I almost got one, but the fact they are having financial troubles scared me off

lb_vee 08-11-2004 02:15 PM

That 747 wing will be coming off soon. Im looking for something to replace it with that doesnt look like shit.

I think its only Mitsubishi USA thats in trouble, so mitsu japan is still around.

pxxx 08-11-2004 02:25 PM

I like that car, it looks great.:thumbsup

asuna 08-11-2004 02:28 PM

What's the point in blurring? people are gonna see his car everyday, and can check out the plates..then again, there might be some pros actually searching forums for this exact reason....

axelcat 08-11-2004 02:29 PM

nice

So should I blur my plates on my car too? Maybe paint over them... if I get pulled over I will just tell the cop that I did not want someone stealing my car. :) There are millions of cars driving around on the streets each day with their license plates exposed, why would someone go to the trouble to steal that car, over the internet? When someone down the street from him could come and bust out the window and be gone in 2 seconds? :)

Manowar 08-11-2004 04:30 PM

very nice EVO, your friend is one lucky guy :thumbsup

thats just stupid

what difference does it make to have the licence plate seen while driving on the road or on a picture on the board

Raf1 08-11-2004 04:45 PM

Awesome car. Must be fun to drive :glugglug

PenisFace 08-11-2004 04:51 PM

If its stock its not putting 300+ to the wheels.

276HP, 275lb-ft, and thats measured at the flywheel. More power is lossed through an all-wheel drivetrain, and most stock evo's dyno in at 240 whp and torque lossed through the drivetrain would be similar.

The STI still has a one-up on it in my opinion, however, I prefer the looks of the evo, so I'd take the evo (mostly because its got the venerable 4G63 engine)
