Most normal people who are secure in themselves don't care as long as it doesn't effect them, which gay marriage wont.

Now marriages have started in mass and the world is still turning. No one lost any rights, any money, it hasn't effected straight people, and everyone is happy. So eventually more states will pick it up.

It's like getting into a hot tub for the first time, you put your toe in and you're not comfortable with it. Then you go in more and more and eventually you see it's no big deal and might even like it.

These gay couple who want to get married are people who have been in relationships for years, for some it's decades. Why not let them get married and protect themselves (and their kids) legally?

These aren't the "I want to marry 5 people" types you talked about earlier.
