I dunno about "best" - we make bigger bank off of hosting mission-critical outsourced shit for call centers then for just "hosting" e-commerce shit.

That's a tough business to be in with bandwidth costs going under $20 per meg like they are now.

Yeh nothing better than having a 1000 webmasters throwing a shit fit when your network goes down once a week.

I dont host sites under 5mbit per sec so they are all pretty sophistocated customers. + our shit doesnt go down EVER so its not a problem.

Now, let me get a little bit technical with you. Let's start here. First of all, you're probably running a Linux server with Apache 1.0 or 2.0. Now, you're also running cron jobs. Now, for when the cron jobs on your server process, it takes down the httpd services (aka apache) to hahahahahahaha the jobs. So, since httpd is stopped, you can't serve up pages. Since those pages can't be served up, YOUR SERVICE IS CONSIDERED DOWN AZZHOLE!! You're down for at least 10 minutes/day b/c of cron jobs running! NOW, SUCK MY DICK BEEEYOTCH!

No and we dont run apache either. We run Zeus which is far superior.

Ok, Mr. knowitall. You can get $20 a meg directly from the providers now-a-days.

Our shared servers run Zeus. Its just has better performance. Also it has alot of GUI features that make setting and caring for customer accounts alot easier. Everything is built in from the get go. Uses less CPU and other cycles. Mostly tho its just plain faster and highly efficient!
