Oh yes. The entire weekend was intense, had suspensions two days (nights) in a row, and a full bondage/floggin/whipping demonstration on Saturday night in a separate area. For safety's sake, I refuse to physically administer any pain/torture to those who are planning to suspend later, because the flagellation brings the blood to the surface (hence the reddening of the skin), and having reddened skin pierced later is not a good idea.

Not necessarily, because it is a safety issue. You HAVE to be serious about safety issues when you're doing something that is so intense, both physically and emotionally. It prevents a lot of bad things, like shock and over-bleeding.
