porngraph stats, or fake broker?
 

right ive got 2 lots of stats here from a traffic broker. one is logged with porngraph for which i always use and one is there internal stats.

now compare and tell me if porngraph counter is out of not logging some countries or am i being tricked?

the traffic was being sent to a console which i now nuked the images.

the server is showing raw stats but i use porngraph all the time with many different traffic brokers and methods and they have all been spot on.

porngraph is the best free counter i have ever tried. It counts near everything if you put it at top of your page

all image counters are unreliable. check your logs.

yeah its always been spot on for me also. cant figure this out as if it was hitbot would the hits be logged as anonymous proxy?

the console was just set up to test that one broker, i nuked the images as i see that its just wasting bandwidth as i have 30k left to come.

hitbot's can theoretically be anything. hitbot's are always evolving...challenging our ability to catch them.

i have had alot of bullshit with brokers saying they have sent X amount when they have not sent shit

ive used alot like spotbrokers,sexcity,adultrafficgen and they have all be pretty much sound and porngraph stats are 98% spot on

If you think about it, it's easier to fool server logs than an image counter. All a hitbot or whatever has to do to fool your server is request the page. To fool an image counter, it has to identify and load images. With most counters, that would include executing some J.avaS.cript. So, you definitely cannot trust server logs in this case. No widespread image counter is unreliable enough to count only a couple of hundred hits out of 11,000.

Look for any IP addresses that only request the HTML page. <B>If</B> your broker is sending false hits, there is a chance that his hit generator would request the HTML and not bother loading all the images. Also look for IP addresses that have the same exact User-Agent, especially if those IPs are requesting images and files in a seemingly random fashion.

Are you using the php counter code by chance? I had 1 page that WOULD NOT count hits on porngraph when it came from a redirect. I popped the java code back in and all was good.

whats very strange also is that the ip's are showing but not being counted for.

so your saying hitbots can go further than just port 8888 or whatever they use?

Proxies can be run on any port. 8000, 8080, 1080 and 3128 are the most common but not the only ones.

Also, unless 221.136.239.254 is a cumpulsive reloader, I think it's a tad odd that he seems to like GETting your / document so many times.

Do you redirect the hits to the page or does the broker? For some reason when my redirect was abc.php and it hit domain.com/abc.html it wouldn't count. I changed to name of one or the other and it worked. Dunno

I checked your PornGraph stats, and I am very very sure that its not our fault. None of the hits seem to be generating any referrers, except for the hits coming from this thread.

I bet its a hitbot, or the traffic is sent.

If you have shell access on the server, go to the dir the log is in and enter this command:

cat <logfile> |grep -v '221.136.239.254' |grep 'GET /console/newlover' |wc -l

where <logfile> is the logfile name.. that will give you the number of entries in the log NOT from that ip that requested the console or console images.. So if the traffic would be real you should see something like hits_bought * (number_of_images+1) ... or something around that at least.... of course, only if the log is fresh for just that campaign.

You can remove the -v in the first grep to make it look for only that ip,. which will give you the info on how many hits came from just that one.

Ok, I am the traffic supplier in question. Before I cover some of the comments that you made can I just ask the question why don`t you contact me first before posting this stuff ?

I appreciate that this board along with all the others is a forum where people can speak freely but surely this kind of stuff should be posted after dialogue has been made directly with me ( I have your email that you sent a short time ago but this was sent only 2 hours ago which hasn`t given me adequate time to reply ).

I don`t think that is a lot to ask.

Anyway onto your order and your questions and the fact that you purposely have not quoted the full details.

1. I offered you an additional 3,000 visitors free of charge because of this slight delay in starting your campaign.

2. Your email that you have just sent reads exactly like this -

"please delete the campaign and the rest of the traffic as your hitbotting, i log stats which i can show and my counters are always spot on with all brokers i buy from, i dont know how i can only get 100 or so shit uniques from 11,000 uniques, no refers ever show and my raw stats are in waves which i can tell are hitbots. if your reselling i would stop using them"

This "hitbot" traffic as you put it that you are receiving is in fact predominantly my 404 error traffic from my two hosting networks and IS ABSOLUTELY NOT HITBOT OR COMPUTER GENERATED HITS.

I don`t need to quote the following but I will - these visitors that you have received is made up of my 404 error traffic and is actually delivered to many TGP owners with very high traffic sites and just as importantly delivered to some of the leading traffic suppliers in this industry and resold on.

This traffic consistently yields productivity of between 30 - 40 % ( which I can prove ). I appreciate this is not brilliant but then this traffic is priced reasonably ( as low as $ 2 USD per 1,000 and even less than this for volume purchases ).

Have you thought of asking the question that the problem might be at your end and at your site ?

3. Java counters / trackers are notoriously unreliable and the numbers of uniques that you have quoted receiving are quite frankly rediculous ( 134 ? ).

4. You are probably not seeing referrals because this traffic is being delivered thru my adserver.

5. This is MY TRAFFIC - I do not resell this traffic for anybody else.

I DO NOT sell bot traffic. An apology would be nice.

no referrers is strange enough. there is 100 or so hits showing mainly from china but no referrers from them also if you look.

the counter in question here is PornGraph, and trust me, we are never that far off ;) Or else we would hardly track 60 million hits a day.

To get all this resolved in the best way, I suggest you give me the _EXACT_ URL that you sent traffic to. Also tell me what kind of ad server you are using and with which header code it redirects.

It should not destroy the referrer.

Nathan, the adserver is ETS ( Enterprise Traffic Server ).

The page where traffic was sent to is http://www.iansamateurs.com/console/newlover/index.html which amusingly displays no images ( as another member posted above ).

Traffic is from the following hosts -

sexushost.com
xadulthosting.com

Once again I state that this traffic is NOT BOT. The vast majority of the traffic sent to you is true 404 traffic and reaches all my clients sites via a very clean redirection.

The stats which fusion has quoted truely cannot be believed.

You talk about being suspicious well perhaps you can answer me the following -

When I send 75 - 125,000 visitors consistently every day to clients sites, resellers and `major` traffic suppliers then the numbers being received from them are a maximum of 10 - 15 % different to my own stats that I provide which is considered the industry standard anyway.

Are all these people wrong apart from you ?
