Polls are pointless.

You show one going one way and someone else can show one going the other.

Freeway 10-14-2003 11:49 AM

Its not that hard to convince someone from the midwest how great your are.

Only the election will tell.

I had the oppurtunity to speak with a very well decorated army man over the weekend at a dinner.

He said this war is nothing but a Bush election campaign thatas failing.

ok, so that's one poll that shows an upturn versus the last 50 that show a downturn.

show me 50 that show an upturn and i'll say you're seeing a rebound.

The shit he told me over the weekend was VERY interesting and 100% accurate.

More than some CNN poll.

I am a very well-decorated Army man and this war has toppled two Middle Eastern regimes already and kicks a lot of ass.

I've served in one war and several regional conflicts... take my word that we're kicking mega ass in the Mid East.

Where's Bin Laden?
Where's Hussein?

When Iraq is supplying cheap oil to the rest of the world and making bank in the process, come back and whine about what a disaster this was and what your Army buddy told you.

Wouldn't it be cool if we found weapons of mass destruction in Iraq right before the election? Maybe release a new scary Bin Laden video and blow up a bridge or two for good measure -- if that doesn't get Bush elected, I don't know what will! :1orglaugh

This sounds fanciful to me. I have never met a Green Beret who wasn't aching to kick the crap out of bad guys like Hussein. What possible reason could your uncle have for not wanting to try to kill Hussein and his regime buddies? Makes no sense. A real soldier would love to get a chance to kill that genocidal meglomaniac.

You sure you're telling the whole story here? Something doesn't sound right to me. I know my friend Kalani who is an 18C and my friend Darryl who is an 18B and my friend Will who is an 18B are all pissed off because they're not getting enough action over there. Those are some of the green berets I served with, and they want to go into Syria, Iran, Saudi, etc. and kick the living crap out of the psychos. I am mystified by your uncle's opposition to killing these bad guys.

Why exactly is he in the armed forces if not to kill bad guys? Or does he think Hussein is not a bad guy?

Weird.

:thumbsup

The whole "war on terror" is a cloak for Bush - he was already sinking before 9/11 and caught on to the "demons" to attack and "united this country" - the man is a total fraud trading on "perceptions".

But, as the story goes, "you can't fool all the people all of the time"! :winkwink: He's a dead man walking.

Is being a president a popularity contest. These countries loved guys like Clinton and Carter because they never did anything.

Bush isnt going to kiss guys like chiracs ass. He tells them to go fuck themself.

well as fun as this is i gotta get back to work, and try and turn a profit. hehe, just for the record tho 12clicks, im not liberal or republican or even american, im just me. i have ideals and values that lie on both sides...but in the end, the way things stand now a vote for bush is a vote against this industry and i can't see how you can deny that.

sherie 10-14-2003 12:41 PM

Just curious to know what makes anyone's opinion more valid than anyone else's? It's not even politic's anymore it arrogance.

Poll shmoll we all know the validity of those..one week winning the next week losing...numbers game is all it is.
