Here is an update of what happens to folks who steal or sell CE Email Lists......

I am sure you have all your lists seeded with names that are only for you lists.

I am using spamarrest.com software and it is one of the best tools I have ever used . I save myself over an hour a day and soo much less frustration !!

CE lists get seeded everyday. The seeds are documented by date and are always a new email account each day.

FM, you going to sue everyone who bought it? I have a name in the list (i seed several big program lists to copy ideas) and it is getting hammered. I guess the list got out to all the spammers.

BTW, I would have considered buying the list, until I found out that it was Eric was the one selling it. He is a long time scammer.

Dumb non-techie question - how does an email list get stolen? Does someone have to hack into your computers or is it an "inside" job?

Lars - does spamarrest keep any GOOD emails out? That's the only thing I'm worried about.

And I STILL haven't met FM after working with him for almost 10 years! :(

Peaches, SpamArrest doesn't delete anything for you unless you tell it to. If it finds an email from an address it hasn't encountered before, it will hold onto it until you tell it to block that address or let it through.
So you've always got full control.

Once you've set someone to be blocked though, it will block all emails from that person - but you can always go back in to the interface and un-block them if you want/need to.

I just wish they'd let you put more than one address (ie multiple aliases) on an account.

If I get a few thousand emails to my domains that are then sent to my main server domain, would I need to get a different account for each domain? :eek7 For instance, here's a recent header:

Could I just put "myhost.com" on there or would I have to put all the "mydomain" on there?
