Acacia & CECASH.com VS. impai.org/homegrownvideo.com? WTF!!??
Looking back through some past threads http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...ghlight=acacia CECASH.com has settled with acacia. Ok fair enough... but what's the deal with the so called leader of impai.org doing biz with CECASH.com still?
go to http://cecash.com/ and choose "our websites" then choose Amateur, and you will see homegrownvideo.com there.... (homegrownvideo.com) [email protected] as posted on the http://www.impai.org page is collecting OUR donations and PAYING acacia money thru cecash.com be it donations/profits/or past arrangement with cecash.com we want to fight them with but these people are doing biz with them!!!! WTF? In my book this is bullshit and homegrownvideo should STOP dealing with someone who has settled with acacia and if they are serous on "leading" this fight and taking our money to fight do it all the way! |
And why do you think CeCash has settled?

Do you guys live under rocks?

In Todays News:
Hitler has now invaded Poland |
CECash is allegedly donating a lot of money to the fight against the patent, according to Ron Levy.
Even though they settled, the IMPA needs money to fight the bogus patent. I don't agree with CE making a deal with Acacia, but I think it's great they are putting a lot of money into the fight against the patent. |

CECASH is still doing alot more to help impai.org than most webmasters are
Just because they made a settlement doesn't mean they agree with it,, their fighting it all the way |

C'mon guys, it's not like this is going to turn into a world war or anything, sheesh. It's just Germany and Poland... leave 'em alone.

If any of you people read Acacia's quarterly report they made a grand total of $19,000 on licensing fees. THAT's why the terms of CECash's settlement weren't disclosed, it's because the numbers were so tiny, surely to get the attention of the rest of us.
If they offered you a settlement for a thousand dollars total would you take it or would you risk millions to fight a federally issued patent? They are doing what they feel necessary to continue operations in the future. Granted, they did sell out, but the damage was VERY minimal. The most damage they did to the IMPA is appearing like acacia beat them. It's quite the opposite. And if you've ever had to go to court, $19,000 disappears in a couple days at most. And that's the TOTAL amount Acacia made last quarter on licensing. While I don't approve of the settlement on a large scale, it's their decision, and they're putting significantly more money against them than they did to side with them. They just created their backup plan and it was cheap. |

Funny... but the other day we were all commenting on Spike's "Churchillesque" resolve...

my guess is few older companies would really want to be dragged through court.
digging those old pics up might not be the best for the people who attended that oparty ;) |
CECash is under a confidentiality agreement with Acacia. It is for that reason I can't respond. You folks will be in for quite a surprise when the truth comes out.
So keep spinning your fairy tales. |
Well all you doves make it seem as if we'll never enter this little european power play. Let's see what happens when I turn the oil to Japan off, eh...

wow....6 years in the biz and I'm not one to bitch or slam but WTF:
Went to impa site to make a donation. Of course a little info about the case, how it effects us, what they're doing with the money would be nice....nope! Just links to send money and a quicky page that took 2 minutes to build. IMPA's been promoting "give me money" for a few weeks, they need to do better than this....when they do, I'll donate |
I've been told that the site is ready to go live except for being vetted by their counsel. They're probably more anxious than we are to open the doors but you just can't hurry those lawyers along...

CE has been reselling Spike's content for "a long time". I don't think it's fair that he give it up cuz FM made a "business decision". We don't know why he did and it's none of our business actually. And just to put in a disclaimer about the company I work for, CE resells our content too. Thought I should say that in order to be fair..... Lastly...........ACACIA FUCKING SUCKS !! |

By the truth coming out, do you mean the truth about CECash doing nothing about ACACIA, or the truth about What ACACIA is coming forwards with? Thanks |

I agree with fantasy man,
We're all confused about this whole deal and nobody is sure about the outcome of this situation. We should all do what we think is best and once the smoke has gone we'll se who was right and who was wrong. We are all here to make money and not to make war! (at least not with each other) If in the end I'll discover that i have to pay Acacisux because of fantasy man I'll boycott him for life but for now there is no reason to assume that he actually sold out or fucked us. Why would he pay money to someone without a reason and ruin his rep at the same time?? I think it is not a good idea to judge people at this moment, it might even be Acacisux strategy to divide us into groups.... (to stay on the current topic:) think about the early success of Hitler: he knew how to let people believe what he wanted them to believe, that was his power! |

After reading Acacias quarterly report, FM made a smart move for FM.
Ron, I gave you praise, can I get an updated quote for my testimonial page? |

I am sorry for the delays on the IMPA website but we have many considerations in order to make sure that we are doing everything by the book. We will have the site up and start generating press material asap.
We are quite happy with our progress and the IMPA is not just about Acacia but has many issues that it is addressing on the behalf of web businesses, including copyright and DRM litigation issues to name a couple of important ones... However, we will look forward to providing as much information as possible on the site and help to answer some of the most common questions about the IMPA, Acacia, and our other concerns. |
