thanks topbucks and visa

Hello:
During a recent routine scan of TopBucks accounts, we noticed that your
account has an unusually high rate of credits/refunds. Regrettably,
although we have not been able to identify anything specific in the way
that you advertise or promote our sites that would contribute to a higher
than normal refund/credit rate, we cannot continue to accept your traffic,
in light of the high rate of refunds.

You will be paid for all sales made through Sunday July 13th, but the
account will be deactivated as of that day, and will not receive further
credit for sales made. Please remove all links to TopBucks sites as soon as
possible.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and regret that closing your account
has been deemed necessary. With the major credit card companies getting
more and more strict about refund, credit and chargeback thresholds,
however, we have no choice but to take preventative measures in reducing
our overall ratios.

Please contact [email protected] with any questions or concerns that you
have.

Thank you and best regards,
TopBucks Support

That's the result when you decide to advertise milfseeker

That sucks!

twistyneck 07-11-2003 06:38 PM

Of course their cookie cutter sites have nothing to do with the chargebacks, it is all your fault.

ldinternet 07-11-2003 06:40 PM

Rejected.... again? :1orglaugh

TheProfessor 07-11-2003 06:40 PM

How were you promoting them?
Are your chargeback rates higher
than normal for other sites you promote?
Can you figure out which traffic is
your "bad" traffic then filter it out?

Swoit 07-11-2003 06:41 PM

*ouch*... it begins

Ray@TastyDollars 07-11-2003 06:42 PM

eRock 07-11-2003 06:48 PM

well,im not an an active affiliate, near all traffic sent came from adwords. Overal 96 or 98 sales. I cannot figure what part of the traffic was bad or what my cb ratio was. I don't really care. What I see is that the math brains of TB estimated my percententage with less than 100 sales. No big deal though.

By "adwords" you mean Google Adwords? If you did send google traffic and they closed your acount, cant wait to see what they do with my 100% TGP traffic. Unreal!!

bigdog 07-11-2003 06:51 PM

It's the Nasty Dollars dump all over again.

This is probably a trend, and we'll see more of it.

Theo 07-11-2003 06:54 PM

JamesK 07-11-2003 06:56 PM

Topbucks lost an honest affiliate :(

Ray@TastyDollars 07-11-2003 07:06 PM

How many webmaster you ASSume TB will lose due to this tread?
Closing honest webmaster accounts sucks!! That is so fucked up, Instead of shutting you down , why dont did just switch your account to partnership? Whould be less of a dramatic blow.

they can pick and choose who they work with. at least they're paying him up to now and telling him to stop sending traffic. it sux, but they have to make money too

BluMedia 07-11-2003 07:12 PM

Everyone is losing their minds. Now honest webmasters are being terminated. We would never terminated a webmaster that has been with us for awhile for something so ridiculous. Why didn't they give you a warning or something like that these visa limits are not even in effect yet.

Mark

basschick 07-11-2003 07:13 PM

switching people with high chargeback rates to partner won't really solve the problem... either way the program will have a higher percentage of chargebacks, and there will be fines and finally the program will be shut down entirely.

btw, google guys are a lot smarter and more cautious than other surfers... they always unclick our clicked cross sale boxes and cancel the second they join. we do better with other search engine traffic or regular adult traffic than with google as far as those things go.

Drake 07-11-2003 07:20 PM

I wonder if this is the beginnings of a larger trend to come.

They closed my account a few days ago too. I see their emails are generic as hell. I've been an active webmaster w/ them over the past year and they were becoming my best sponsor in terms of sales. Hell if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have gotten my new car. But oh well, if they wanna start cancelling accounts because of the new regulations and not coming up with better solutions for the issue then so be it. I just find it pretty shady not to give anyone a warning or at least recommending other alternatives. Sooner or later all webmasters in their program will be on that list of high chargebacks.

Ray@TastyDollars 07-11-2003 07:30 PM

Bottom feeder. At least have the balls to just spam your shitty sites rather than sitting here hoping that your negativity will attract webmasters.

inthestars 07-11-2003 07:36 PM

I thought I was the only one whose TB sign up ratios went to shit all of a sudden ... 1:4107.. what the fuck?

i would imagine webmasters will avoid programs like the plague who terminate their honest webmasters. very bad publicity... if they are going to start doing that they should show chargebacks/refunds in the stats so webmasters can realize they are doing something wrong, or that the site they are advertising, blows :winkwink:

i think processors are scrubbing like a motherfucker, my ratios seem to have doubled across all my sponsors for no apparent reason.

Wow, big loss for Topbucks cancelling Soul_Rebel. I've known Soul for a long time and done a lot of business with him and he is one of the most honest webmasters around. He also has a ton of kickass SE traffic. If that traffic isn't good enough for Topbucks then I don't know what is. Talk about a knee jerk reaction!

Ok I will. Soul Rebel sorry to hear about TopBucks. Give IntenseCash a try. We won't ban you for fucking bullshit and we convert better than TopBucks.

Mark

:)

Jake 07-11-2003 07:58 PM

If any of you guys are looking for a place to send your traffic where your account won't be cancelled for some bullshit reason just check sig!

Mr.Fiction 07-11-2003 07:59 PM

Damn.

BradShaw 07-11-2003 08:02 PM

You are going to see alot more of this. Also, you are going to see processors stop taking new transactions from certain affiliates.
