Nope

Super awsome piece of cinema history? No.

Funny again and again? Cool to grab a few brews and chill with your friends and watch? Everyone knows like every line?

Its a great movie. And the dvd has both widescreen and 4:3
:)

I forgot about LOTR. If the last movie is as good as the first, I'd have to put the complete trilogy in the great movies category too.

4Pics 05-16-2003 12:57 AM

The first Harry Potter was great, this last one I was not impressed with. However the 2nd LOTR was better then the first.

More movies...

Enemy of the State
Bladerunner
Air Force One
Armageddon
Cruel Intentions
Die Hard 1,2,3
Forest Gump
Faceoff
Independence Day
Mission Impossible 1,2
Remeber the Titans
Rounders
Unbreakable
Xmen

You probably would enjoy Clerks if you haven't seen it.

Good call, great movies.

Opening scene in Saving Private Ryan is pretty gruesome but so is the wire scene in Ghost Ship.

Big_Ray 05-16-2003 01:07 AM

and don't forget about:

E.T.

and

The Empire Strikes Back

I'm 32... so when they came out I was still young and impressionable... maybe that's why I liked them so much.

sextoyking 05-16-2003 01:08 AM

4pics,

I forgot Remember the Titans, good call there.

gotta be in my top 10. I have seen it about 15 times. Dam good movie:)

Has dated Pamela Anderson, Erika Eleniak, Nicole Eggert, Natalie Raitano, Nicolette Sheridan, Brooke Shields, and Heather Locklear.

Yep, Fonzi's lil cousin too. :thumbsup

grogan 05-16-2003 01:39 AM

shit

Nasty D 05-16-2003 01:40 AM

If we are talking about comedies we gotta include Kevin Smith movies!

Clerks
Mall Rats
Chasing Amy
Dogma
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back

My favorite is Mall Rats "The kid is still on the escalator"

Gotta love movies like the Breakfast Club that rely on clever dialog and simple production, using a school for the set for the entire movie....and Kevin Smith with Clerks and Mall Rats, instead of relying on special effects and cheezy dialog!
:thumbsup

Shawshank Redemption is a classic! Love that film. Strangely White men can't jump is also a big fave of mine!

:thumbsup

Triple 6 05-16-2003 02:36 AM

I am sickened and deeply despressed that nobody mentioned Ghostbusters!

I like a lot of the 80's movies since I was growing up then , and you could easily submerse yourself in a movie when your between 6 and 12 years old.

As far as recent movies, Im not gonna bother listing my favs but I just saw 'the transporter' last weekend and it was pretty cool. They took a lot of cues from Jackie Chan films it seems.

Its definitely one of the greatest stories I've ever read. Stephen King is famous for horror, but quite a few of his horror novels have been relative duds. With some obvious exceptions (The Stand, Carrie, Salems Lot, The Dead Zone etc) his short stories and novellas are where its at.

MetaMan 05-16-2003 02:41 AM

wats that movie ( i think with emilio estavez however u spell it)
