I'm going to see XMen in about 2 hours. Hopefully it doesn't suck balls.

I wish T3 was out now, I'd rather see it.

AdultNex 05-03-2003 01:08 PM

Has to be Matrix.

gezzed 05-03-2003 01:08 PM

Matrix for sure. Saw X2 yesterday, I would have to say it's better than the first. A lot more use of powers, more characters, etc.

let me know how it is plsss :)

i saw xmen on video and was surprised. the terminator series (well now trilogy) has always been one of my favs and the matrix i was blown away!

i rented videos last weekend and they had an entire wall, at bb, for the matrix and xmen. i was actually going to buy them but the prices were raised again so i shall wait :)

rooster 05-03-2003 01:15 PM

t3

evildick 05-03-2003 01:16 PM

I'll post my personal review when I get back. Not too many people know this, but I'm really the guy that writes all the reviews for Roger Ebert.
They just let him do the talking because of his good looks.

heheheh! ebert reminds me of ernie from sesame st. but hey, if you get the $$ for it, then let him do all the talking he wants :)

Dax 05-03-2003 01:30 PM

I would say the matrix...

I saw x2 and it was entertaining.. but blah...

Now the matrix.. i would go see it more than once and im just going based on the previews...

Matrix rocks!

Jizar II 05-03-2003 01:35 PM

T3 will be sweet! :)

Paul Markham 05-03-2003 01:37 PM

I must be getting old, have no desire to see any of them. :(

you think? it looked good in the trailers but for some reason i got hollywood commercialism from it. then again, now that i think about it, i got the same feeling from t2 and that movie turned out to be good (would have been better without that annoying kid).

That "annoying kid" is an integral part of the plot.

Anyways, Matrix will rake in the most cash, but I'm gonna see all three.

without a doubt matrix.

rooster 05-03-2003 02:02 PM

I think once they start marketing t3 really hard in the next few weeks it will be the biggest thing this summer when it comes out.

t2 was awesome and swarzenegger is a huge draw.

I thought the matrix was a crappy movie

no argument there. he was very important however, he was not a good choice to portray that part. his acting was subpar at best, in my opinion (they could have casted better).

in any event, i hope these movies are out by the end of the year on dvd (i'm not a theater person...god only knows what people do on those seats before i get to sit on them ;) ), cause i will have one hell of a winter to look forward to movie wise!

I saw the first showing here. It kicked so much ass.

t3 is going to be somewhat gay with a fucking female (ironic!)

well if you summerize this trilogy, it all started started with a woman. weird how it all comes around in the end :)

Scott McD 05-03-2003 02:22 PM

Interested to see how T3 turns out...

Didn't really like the 1st X-Men, and The Matrix isn't my kind of movie.

It was good. Better than the first one. Started out slow but once the action kicked in it was great.

It was nice to see the Wolverine character actually use his blades to impale and kill some people for once instead of just slashing away at the air.

There's a really cool scene where "Pyro", a kid that can control flame, started wasting some cops. I enjoyed that immensely.

Only thing I didn't like was the Nightcrawler character which they tried to use for some comic relief, with the worst German accent I've ever heard. Kinda like Jar Jar Binks, but not quite as offensive.

Pretty decent story and acting overall, as far as action movies go. It could have been a lot better if they would have gone for an R rating, with Wolverine severing heads and shit, but I guess that wouldn't be the smartest thing for them to do.

fantasycontent 05-03-2003 07:50 PM

they all look good and i plan to see them all! I would guess the Matrix will rake in the most then T3 followed by X2.... I also think the Hulk will give X2 a run for its money!

thank you for such a thorough synopsis! i cant wait to see it now. really good movies take generally 6 mos to come out on video so by november i should be in good shape :)

thanks again...i appreciate it!

KRL 05-03-2003 08:23 PM

Matrix simply because like the first one people will see it more than one time. That's how you get those box office grosses into larger than life numbers.

natkejs 05-03-2003 08:34 PM

I refuse to answer since none of these movies will show up anytime soon in these cold parts of the world. Unless I choose to find a bootleg version on the net and ruin the movie with the shitty quality.

When I was in Florida last month I watched the trailers for all these new exciting movies but usually Sweden is lagging behind a few months in releasing new movies compared to US.. unless it's some special event like with one of the newer James Bond movies where it had grand opening at 0:07 the same date allover... at least as I understod it ;)

But ok, I'd guess on T3 actually.

X-Men 2 draws a younger crowd, Matrix 2 just feels like it won't surprise ya much.

T3 on the other hand is something that's lagging so far behind the previous movie that I think more people will take time to check it out just cause they remember T2 as such a hit, yet probably the general crowd don't remember enough details to figure out the next part.

My guess, I have absolutely no clue about this, I just wanted to guess too! ;)

Strife 05-03-2003 11:50 PM

Matrix 2 will probably make more money than X2 in the end because of hardcore fans who will watch it several times, but it's going to be pretty hard to beat what X2 is expected to make in it's first 3 days. X2 earned $33.9 million on Friday, and is expected to make $92+ million in it's first 3 days which would make it the 2 biggest opening weekend ever. Only spider-man made more in it's first weekend.

69pornlinks 05-04-2003 12:34 AM

matrix reloaded ,if x-2 made 100 mill in three, matrix gonna do at least double that, everybody and they momma is waiting for matrix

Sarah_Jayne 05-04-2003 02:28 AM

matrix...especially if you are talking world wide ticket sales.

IntenseCash 05-04-2003 02:51 AM

Without a doubt. Matrix by a fuckin landslide!

Saw X Men last night.. was really cool, but nothing will compare to Matrix :) My :2 cents:

you could be right about that and maybe throw in t3 cause of the target audience. xmen is more geared towards a younger audience correct?

That's what it looked like.

If they had done T3 a few years ago . . . but high school students on dates are going to be like Arnie who? and go to see Matrix a second time.

pornguy 05-04-2003 02:09 PM

I saw Xmen 2 and it was better than the first.

The only thing that I did not like was that introduced a guy in one scene, that as he walked toward some bad guys shooting, he turned to steel.

Then he was gone and not in the movie again. I think that his character would ahve been a great addition.

But cant wait for Matrix or Pirates of the Caribbean
