go fuck yourself. That pic is the same pic of the soldiers resting in their fox holes that was posted a few days ago. lol

evildick 03-23-2003 06:52 PM

They're showing a picture of soldiers sleeping. Are they trying to make that look like mass graves?

Thats the problem with you brainwashed Folk.
You dont know how to read..
In case you didnt notice there are several paragraphs of information on that page!
All you know how to do is see pictures...pick up a book one day
you might learn something!

Sly_RJ 03-23-2003 06:53 PM

The same picture was used yesterday of soldiers resting. It was mocked then as well.

Your excellent article included no numbers. No injuries. No deaths. No lost equipment. No real information except an attempt at a conspiracy theory.

Thanks for opening my eyes. I now agree with you.

Fuck off. The war is old news. This ain't the place for it, anyway.

psyko514 03-23-2003 06:55 PM

they never said the picture is of dead americans.

if you read even the first paragraph of the article, it says that a lot of helicopters were destroyed. if you're helicopter was shot down, you would not be in one piece in clean fatigues like those sleeping soldiers.

Pretty hard to get any information from a computer translated page with no mention of any numbers or hard info. Just call it colossal and call it a day.

The picture doesn't make a difference? LOL! Can I quote you on this?

Let me go find an article about the Iraqi people being happy about the "invasion". I'll couple it with a picture of Iraqi children dancing in the streets after a soccer game.

Would that be propaganda? Of course not. Pictures don't matter.

Yes they do matter if, IF there is text accompanying the picture
which is false or misleading.

At this point there was no mention of that picture in the article.
So as far as I know the picture is stand-alone.
With no relation to the article other that to show pics of american troops in iraq.

psyko514 03-23-2003 07:02 PM

Whether it's American media or Iraqi media, if one side were to suffer collossal losses in an attack, it wouldn't be immediately broadcast across the world.

If the American army were to lose say 300 soldiers in one attack, and they were to broadcast it, the Iraqi soldiers would hear about it almost as fast as American citizens would, and it would boost their morale.

Or if the Americans were to end up killing Saddam, the Iraqis would keep it hush-hush for as long as possible

evildick 03-23-2003 07:03 PM

I guess maybe you are right, I always trust news sources that have quotes from the Matrix on their main page:

?You're here because you know something. What you know you can't explain -- but you feel it. You've felt it your entire life; that there's something wrong with the world; you don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you to me. Do you know what I'm talking about?? ?The Matrix,? Neo asks?

The following text suggests that the American troops suffered greatly from an attack:
Quote:

According to the existing/available information, this morning, during the approach in the south of Iraq, the column of American troops, after moving to 15 kilometers from the boundary, fell under the impact/shock of the army of Iraq and sustained the most serious losses.Practically all helicopters of combat support were destroyed. The administration of the White House is in the complete confusion.
The picture accompanied with this text, with no comment or message about soldiers resting in fox holes, suggests that many lives were lost. The picture was placed to give the impression that the coalition is suffering greatly.

You deny this? Who's the sheep now?

Dude, I have no idea how that picture would make anyone think many lives were lost from that pic being the guy leaning on the truck is reading a book.

Hahaha! You think there is some massive conspiracy by the USA: we're losing troops, we're up to no good in the middle east, our press is lying to us, etc, but you are actually trying to defend an OBVIOUS attempt to mislead the readers of your supposed "real news" source. This is so funny. I wish there were ten more of you on here to discredit all this bullshit even faster.

"Uh, that's just a picture. It has nothing to do with the article it accompanies, even though it is placed at the start of the article, directly under the title and to the left of the first sentence."

i never said i believed it. i just said it was possible. i'm indifferent as to who lives and dies in this war, as it's mostly innocents fighting for the causes of the few. as long as saddam dies, it's all good.

Anything that makes the U.S. look bad.

I don't doubt it. I just said The Matrix quote is very fitting for what they claim to be (an alternative news source). And alternative news sources are based on personal agendas almost by definition.

"I don't like the mainstream news sourcews out there, so I'm gonna make my own news source"

If a news article has a picture in it, that picture is always relevant. Well, unless you're writing for some bogus website that has no real information. An article talking about heavy losses, then showing a picture of a few american soldiers just chillin isn't very relevant. How can you not see that the site is completely fictitious?

This is the internet Massivecock, it's sad that you believe everything you read.
