What is it you want to know? I headed up the team that put iadvert together in the autumn of 2001. Right before I left WRP.

I have no idea how much effort or work has gone into that program since I left the company, however from the looks of it, it hasn't been touched since I left in November of 2001.

Seems that without Evil Chris people don't even remember the name Carol Cox anymore.

1. I know enough of you to know you are being a thankless prick for being anything but respectful of the people that helped you in the past.

2. Yes we have met. In fact you've been a guest of Homegrown Video for dinner more than once at recent conventions. (whereupon we talked about doing deals with Carol Cox, Wild Rose, Rosecams, etc whereupon nothing was done until after you "left" the company, whereupon once we talked directly to Danny Cox we completed some of these same deals that are now profitable ventures).

3. Do I need your invitation to GFY threads now?

I have the utmost respect for Both Danny and Carol Cox and the folks over at WRP. I even had the priv. of working with them for a time :)

However, homegrownmof, you claim to know Evil Chris..

I do not believe that a few dinners at conventions constitutes a relationship of enough depth to truly discern if one is a thankless prick....

I've known Chris, Danny, Carol and everyone associated with WRP for many years.. and those relationships are indeed of a "bit" more depth than a few dinners at conventions or business discussions... I have nothing but respect for all of them... INCLUDING Evil Chris

Our program is actually doing quite well. Where many other programs come out in a wave of hype only to slip and fall, ours continues to perform and make webmasters cash. Everyone knows in today's market that overhyped programs are the cause of their own demise. When too many are trying to sell one sponsor then affiliates lose out and go running for the next big thing... which I am sure you are probably promoting right now. Good for you. Keep chasing the tail. It is equally amusing to watch you do that as it is to watch my dog doing the same.

Why don't you tell what really happened to I-advert?

It was your idea. You couldn't bring in the webmasters you thought would run to support you and it flopped. It essentially died when you left the company to convince someone else what a marketing guru you are.

Remember talking a deal between wrp and hgv? Remember saying that Danny would not be interested in our proposal? Well, just to fill you in, once you left we found out that was exactly the deal Danny was looking for! Now we are doing well (profitable) and we have not even gotten out of beta testing and development.... so I guess we must not be screwing up too bad...

We may not be the best at what we do, but we sure are consistently profitable and growing regardless. I hope you can now say the same... but I won't hold my breath.

The deal didn't go down while I was at WRP because your product is weak. It's always been weak. Sorry for stating the obvious to you.

I left for reasons you do not understand. The ship was sinking. I left, and then curiously everyone else did as well. It was only *then* that your amazing deal was struck. To which I am sure you are all getting super rich from now.

iadvert could have been a huge program. However, someone did not want to put forth the necessary funds to make it so. Therefore it is dead in the water. I won't ask you direct questions about it because you don't know. But I do wonder, has a cheque ever been cut to a webmaster from signups they may have sent to that program? My sources tell me NO.

You and Mof brought this on. Someone asked a question, and I answered. It could have sounded a whole lot different, but you chose to see it in the light you did. I won't stoop to calling you names though. Are you through speaking for your partner/buddy now?
