By being aware of this and adjusting to where it benefits us rather than hurts us :thumbsup

The sky isn't falling.

I remember a little over two years ago when no one knew who Lightspeed Media was. I still recall going out to lunch with a company we had just started to do business with, and telling them about our plan. I'm sure they laughed at us. Less than three years later we are one their biggest customers.

Here's a few things I've learned:
- Be nice to people on the way up. I'll never forget the people who told me to get lost two years ago.
- If your in this for the quick money.... Get the fuck out. Your doing nothing but pissing people off.

The over saturation will never end.

Why? Because too many kids and Russians are willing to work like animals for 20 bucks a day.

MonkeyMan 02-27-2003 09:10 PM

Last I checked the total $$$ the adut internet industy makes has increased every year.

I have got to say i have watched Lightspeed Since they Started and i really Like what came outta them .. Great people and They are Honest.

I can say they are a good sponsor that had the opertunity to grow at and alarming Rate. But they didnt die out to like many companys that grow so fast.

Over saturation is a Big Problem.... if anyone is to make money that is .. But im sure we got a couple more years before the big adult companys control it all and push the little guys out somehow

Interlude 02-27-2003 11:02 PM

Oh, please. I've heard this sort of crap for years, told my family and friends what I'm doing and haven't had a real problem yet. Keep on plugging, porn will always be around, it's just the players that will change.

We never spoke before, but well said... I agree 110%

Spam King 02-28-2003 12:03 AM

surfers are just getting smarter which will amke it harder to sell. you cant keep fooling them with flashy sites that all look the same made only to convert and with no attention to member satisfaction. im doing very well, but its all about choosing the right sites to promote. i have a rule, if i join it , im happy with the service and happy with the content then i'll promote it. :2 cents:

Society as a whole has seemed to be reaching the point of oversaturation rapidly the last several years. what does it mean? possibly it will turn people back to quality over quantity and push all the bullshit aside?

Gutterboy 02-28-2003 12:19 AM

You should get your own program if GFY ever goes live.. "The Existentialist Hour, with quiet"

It could be like a really depressing version of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood.

"Today we're going to learn about the letter D. Many important words begin with the letter D, like despair, death, and deconstructionism..."

"Can you say deconstructionism?"

"I knew you could!"

Amen. Excuse my rant, I just have a few things to add . . . LISTEN UP nothing is worse than a business that has no respect for the people paying their bills. This is a GREAT industry and it will grow at least 100 fold in the next ten years along side internet growth. I am proud to be a part of it. True the landscape will change and there will be ups and downs those that do it right will still be around, the ones just in it for the money will not . Its easy to steal other peoples ideas but they don't work because the most important part is you need to be pasionate about what you do to find success. This is true in all things in life. Those who love the sites they run or promote will always be more succesful than those who are only in because they are chasing a money trail. The people chasing the money will also be the first to declare the sky is falling when they find themselves totally lost with no idea how they got there. Find what you love and do it and you will find success (i feel like a motivational speaker) :glugglug
:glugglug :glugglug :glugglug

Not necersarily.

I trebled my turn over in 2002 from 2001 and most of my clients seem to be doing well.

I agree it is getting harder to get started. You're now unlikely to make $100,000 with a $100 start up, it'snow difficult to make a profit if you have little talent at porn.

Welcome to the real world buster.

Steve at Lightspeed showed that it can be done. :thumbsup

The newb holocaust is coming soon, and I will be the one shoving you into the "showers".

When recurring dies, so do you.

No more 40 per signup on your 350k cj hits a day. No more pay bandwidth bills. Bye bye newb.
