Come on man. Kuta gets raided by cops on regular bases. U get busted with just one funny pill and you're on the way to jail. Happened way too many times while I lived there. There is no Islamic National law and there are 5 official religions in Republic of Indonesia. and although its not Islamic Republic, the law is to fit Muslim traditions.

Kuta is a tourist trap hole. However, the rest of Bali is nothing shot of amazing. Go there when the rice fields and terraces are green, rent a scooter and travel the island. Some of the most beautiful scenery you'll ever see in your life. Also out of Kuta you'll see true Balinese culture, which is amazing. They have rituals going on all the time all over the place.

We rolled into one village on our bikes and the entire village of women, old women and young girls, were all bathing topless in the little creek by the road. Titties everywhere and no one cared. I should have bought land right there and called it a wrap. It was a glorious site.
