I think it's a real state. There have been times where I've woke up from a dream & thought, no way, I would have done that different in real life, and other times, very close to being awake, I controlled my dream & did the right thing, how I would in every day life, it felt real :2 cents:

I have them somtimes. You can train yourself to get them but takes time and practice.
Your diet is important as well.

Fletch XXX 11-14-2011 08:09 PM

ive done it quite a few times, first was by accident then read up on what was happening. Its pretty weird, ive had a few experiences.

Buy l-tryptophan, take 500 - 1000 mg half an hour before bedtime...

Or try 3 bananas with warm milk....

Make sure that there's absolutely no noise and no light in your bedroom...

To reach lucid state you need at least 3 uninterrupted REM periods, so keep your room completely dark and silent... sleep alone, for at least 7 hours uninterrupted, the 5th or 6th REM period will be lucid, for about 10 minutes...

Try a sleepmask and earplugs if you're in the wrong environment.

Good luck.

If you could lucid wet dream, I'd be listening.

A wet dream is (a form of) lucid dreaming.

If you see a load of shit in my post, you're probably lucid dreaming right now !

2MuchMark 11-14-2011 08:38 PM

It has nothing at all to do with diet, or how much sleep you get. Lucid dreaming is simply being AWARE that you're dreaming. Lucid Dreaming is really cool, and really easy to do. If you want to try it, its as simple as telling yourself this: "The next time I am dreaming, I want to realize that I am dreaming".

Try repeating this to yourself a few times when you go to bed.

If it works for you, what will happen is exactly what you think will happen. At one point you will be dreaming your dream, and then come to realize that you are dreaming. You can then sit back and enjoy the dream, or make sone conscience changes along the way. If your dream takes a direction you don't like, you can even rewind it like a tape, make a change, and continue it in a new direction.

The trick though, is to not wake up. Sometimes when you realize that you're dreaming, you realize that you're asleep. This can nudge you just enough to wake you up.

If you're afraid of trying this, don't be. There's nothing spooky about it. It's actually kind of cool.

shade001 11-14-2011 08:41 PM

I can't control the dream but I can control myself sometimes, as I am aware that I am dreaming. My dreams can be pretty weird and extreme. It gets pretty cool sometimes and sometimes it's a bit too real.

You need a few things to get in the wetdream state :

- no ejaculations for at least 9 days

- eat a few eggs in the morning, and 1 or 2 before you go to sleep

- arouse yourself, look at hot porn half an hour before bedtime, but withold ejaculation.

- follow my advice in the post above

You can be shure you'll have wet dreams soon.

epitome 11-14-2011 08:49 PM

I've done it, but I don't know how to make myself do it. It's just a random thing that happens every once in awhile.

Everything has to do with diet.

Low on tryptophane ? You'll be depressed and will keep the serotonine for waketime to fight the depression... Lucidity can only happen if there's an abundance of serotonine... tryptophane is the precursor to 5HTP, which is the precursor of serotonine... low serotonine=no lucid dreaming.

meh, all you end up doing is flying around

you don't actually control the dream, you can just 'steer the boat'

That's what I'm thinking, you can't actually introduce new ideas and do whatever you want, but you can make decisions based on what is happening..

alias 11-14-2011 08:54 PM

Might as well direct your efforts towards "reality".

you can introduce new ideas, ie, 'i am flying now', but that will 'go somewhere' and generally that is going to reflect on either what the dream was about, or that weird loopy 'shift' from one part of a dream to another where you're thinking about 'where you came from'

it's hard to explain lol

epitome 11-14-2011 09:36 PM

Just do a bunch of ketamine and you're golden.

Mr Pheer 11-14-2011 10:13 PM

Just take an ambien but then dont go to sleep. You'll be all kinds of fucked up and the next day you wont know if that shit really happened or if you dreamed it.

DarkJedi is daydreaming ;)

Makaveli 11-14-2011 10:48 PM

I've been able to do this.. A few times it was a amazing thing, but most times it's pretty frighting because you're aware that you're in a dream state but have no control over whats happening and in your conscience mind you're desperate to wake the fuck up...

alias 11-14-2011 11:02 PM

Lucid dreaming has nothing to do with how happy you are, and while Serotonin is known to contribute to happiness, it too has nothing at all to do with Lucid dreaming. Connections between 2 things don't mean they require each other to make an equation true. Diet is also completely unrelated to lucid dreaming. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucid_dream

CurrentlySober 11-15-2011 03:15 AM

its not hard to do, if you drink a lot. If you drink to the point of being drunk all the time - over a period of say a week, you no longer really goto sleep / goto bed for any long period of time...

Therefore you drift in and out of consciousness all the time, and as such are pretty much lucid dreaming whenever you fall asleep, even for a few moments.

Top Tip? Try not to drive your car while doing this.

TheSenator 11-15-2011 03:38 AM

I have the best lucid dreams during a day time nap.

Hentaikid 11-15-2011 03:44 AM

I've always wanted to lucid dream, but I'm really bad at noticing dream cues, the most absurd stuff seems normal when you're dreaming. The few times it's happened I've woken up almost immediately, or "woken up" back into the dreamstate.

Apparently once you start to lucid dream you should spin around in place, this distracts you from waking up, I tried that once and it sort of worked.

Mutt 11-15-2011 03:55 AM

always been able to do that - i'm dreaming, wake up, wanna see/experience more of the dream/nightmare and go right back to sleep or half sleep and continue on with the dream.

sometimes it doesn't work and it pisses me off.

Emil 11-15-2011 05:32 AM

It have happened a couple of times for me. Very rarely.
It's very nice.

bronco67 11-15-2011 06:03 AM

When I lucid dream, its usually because of a really deep sleep.

There's a supplement I take for workouts called ZMA(Zinc Magnesium Asparate). It's supposed to promote testosterone production -- and I don't know if it does that, but it gives you some sleep that is so deep, you will have some fucked up vivid dreams.

Another thing is a product that I got turned on to from the Joe Rogan podcast. They talk about a nootropic called Alpha Brain. It's supposed to increase cognitive function or some bullshit, but one of the side effects is lucid/vivid dreams.

I bought a bottle, and while I noticed zero effect of thinking more clearly during the day, it was like going to Disneyland every night when I went to bed. I had some of the most epic, detailed like real life dreams -- and I became lucid a few times. There was nothing fleeting about the dreams. I remembered them clearly when I woke up, and some of them I can still recall in great detail. It was freaky. I'm going to get another bottle and try it mixed with ZMA.
