as an aside, just woke up and had another dream where it took place in what i call "dream neighborhoods." certain streets, or hotels or whatever that only appear in dreams but i keep going back to on a regular basis. like there is a parallel reality running to ours.

i've done this before a number of times in the past, though when i realize i am dreaming i just try to fuck whatever girls happen to be around but something typically goes wrong like they turn into an inanimate object or something.

DEAD WRONG. Certain foods cause you to dream lucid more often. For example, vitamin B6 helps a lot (which is in bananas by the way)
There are also several herbs you can take/make tea of that will help.

I know WHAT lucid dreaming is, I'm talking about enchanging the chances of getting there.

i will give brief example of my experience, it was quite real (at least felt like it) and I actually was so freaked I woke up.

at first I was walking through a hospital and the phone on a desk rang, and when it did I woke up in my dream. I then started to look around the hospital and made sure i was in a dream. Then i found myself in a bathroom facing a mirror, and i said,... "if this is a dream, I can float in the air. I looked into mirror and slowly began to levitate up and could feel myself losing balance and becoming weightless.

May sound silly, but man after that moment I realize that you can definitely wake within a dream and do some crazy things. To relate the feeling, it felt exactly like the rush you get on a roller coaster when going upside down etc... it felt wild and it woke me in the real world too.

anyway, enough weird stuff for today lol got ads to design

I meditate myself to sleep every night, have been doing it for years. I can't remember the last time I didn't have a lucid dream or an out of body experience, I've had 1000's of them. I'm working on waking dreams right now... very tough to get your mind to slip into dream state while awake.

Not very sure but I guess I experienced that, or I wasn't lucid enough :)

If you die while lucid dreaming, do you die in the real world?

Would love to hear more Doc.

I fly like Superman the minute I realize I'm dreaming. Its just fuckin amazing to shoot so high in the sky and it feels just as real as waking reality is when awake. I once realized I was dreaming because it seemed all too weird I was sitting on a toilet in the middle of a forest. I shot up and flew instantly.. without pants? The experience always is so energizing. I always want to jump out of my bed and fly when I wake up. Our physical bodies are a vehicle for the soul, not a prison as a pessimist will argue. Take care of it.

Stephen LaBerge of Lucidity Institute hooked me up, traded a meditation device I was using for a Novadreamer.. a mask with chipboard he invented to flash when in rem state to trigger a lucid dream. You can make it happen without something like this though obviously. Good times. Puppetmaster of dreams in all of us.
