Anyone else get a serious bitch slap from google today?

Traffic down about 70%...I'm talking multiple 6+ year old quality blogs sunken into oblivion.

GAY

AzteK 10-14-2011 04:55 PM

No I can't say I have. If you have some good content, hit it with quality links.

nickutis 10-14-2011 05:03 PM

some of my sites got hit pretty hard. I know at least two other webmaster who got hit too

damn google

Klen 10-14-2011 05:23 PM

I was not seriously bitch slapped, but some bitch slapping is definitely in progress. Also,if you have original content, check does someone making a copy of your content, that can cause instant penalization.

B.Barnato 10-14-2011 05:28 PM

Sorry to hear but interesting none the less.

Had a small network of mainstream sites double in traffic yesterday, today still up a good 25k impressions compared to normal.

jollyperv 10-14-2011 06:13 PM

got a bad feeling about this particular dance

GAMEFINEST 10-14-2011 07:17 PM

looks ok here...

looky_lou 10-14-2011 07:20 PM

Went from #5 to #40 on main keyword on biggest blog.

PornHustler 10-14-2011 07:36 PM

Yea felt the hit also. been talking to some others who have been hit also. All original hand written stuff so no dupe issues.

anexsia 10-14-2011 07:39 PM

about 11 of my main blogs gained a shitload of traffic...every time google has been updating I have been getting more and more traffic I'm totally loving it. A few of my blogs will lose a lot of traffic for a day or so but then BAM, the traffic goes up double or triple. I made sales today on blogs I haven't had much traffic at in awhile.

beks001 10-14-2011 07:50 PM

I got a big slap as well. No good. 50% down just today. Not sure how to approach it either . Let it fix itself or get things jump started
Forgot to say all hand written too. Weird.

Jakez 10-14-2011 08:07 PM

Quite the opposite. They've decided to more than double the traffic they usually give me for the last week.

PornStarToys 10-14-2011 08:12 PM

Down 85%. Yay. From a couple weeks ago though, was hoping it would bounce back but didnt.

Mr Pheer 10-14-2011 10:01 PM

I went from #3 to #4

Sin_Vraal 10-14-2011 10:01 PM

not seeing any change so far... traffic seems to be steady for me as usual.

if you guys have mainstream sites and you need links from pr 6-7 pages with HIGH AUTHORITY domain ( as opposed to a high pr low quality bullshit vapor ware page), let me know. Multiple niches
I'm selling for 40-150/mo per link.

Mr Pheer 10-14-2011 10:02 PM

The guy that was #1 is now #5, and fucking xvideos.com took the #1 spot and they werent even on the first page before.

korke 10-14-2011 10:58 PM

yeah got hit yesterday. lost lots of traffic. I have blog network and all with handwritten content and regularly updated. Maybe this is just some kind of weird dance... I hope that it will fix because it is so f...ing disaster...

jollyperv 10-15-2011 02:53 AM

Well fuck, at least I know it isn't just me

Horny Joe 10-15-2011 03:23 AM

Seems I got a little bit more SE traffic on a couple of sites I checked. I did a keyword search and notice that I am om page #2 with a new .me domain now. Was WAAAAAY back there last time I checked.

dazzling 10-15-2011 04:20 AM

It was a Panda update....Matt Cutts from Google confirmed it on his Twitter....http://twitter.com/#!/mattcutts/stat...05069748559872

Cutts also issued a weather report earlier around October 5 there will be flux in the serps over the next few weeks.
Websites will go up and down over this period....losses may turn into gains into losses into gains.

Its part of the Panda whitewash to eliminate small webmasters from the internet. The only real winners here are google properties or members of the OPA.

For those talking about building backlinks...it is irrelevant...Panda does not count backlinks...its a artificial neural learning algorithm. Its also run manually from time to time and only runs against a small percentage of the web at a time. If you were not affected it may only mean you missed the scan.

Right now google do not give a stuff about adult...Panda is about mainstream....any adult caught in the middle are only a byproduct.
The Adult version of Panda is due next year...thats when you can kiss away your business.

PromoterX 10-15-2011 04:27 AM

Strange, my traffic went up about 70%.... hmm.

halfpint 10-15-2011 04:40 AM

Nope I havent seen any increase or drop

geirlur 10-15-2011 05:45 AM

Business as usual here

cybermike 10-15-2011 07:41 AM

Right now google do not give a stuff about adult...

I honestly do not think Google gives a stuff about anything except sites that directly promote Google, its products, and/or make it money.

Google is - very slowly - eliminating everything that isn't a Google product, partner, or promoter.

Having said that, Google actually sent me some really good traffic the last two days. I made more sales Friday / Saturday than I made during the rest of the week combined.

This roller-coaster is starting to get nauseating, though - I never have a clue what will happen next.

porno jew 10-15-2011 01:41 PM

you are a retard.

No problems here, sorry man.

signupdamnit 10-15-2011 01:56 PM

Lost about 500 hits a day from Google overall. Some sites went down while some went up.

I had 1 of my top 10 blogs go from number 1 with 2k hits day to obscurity and under 100 hits, and another one is still ranking number 1 for it's main keyword, but literally overnight went from over 5k hits a day to under 300 :( Obviously I was ranked for something else I no longer am.

TheSenator 10-15-2011 02:22 PM

Here is my check list as it pertains to structure and Google suggestions on how a site should be built.

HTML5
PageSpeed 92
Proper Taxonomy Structure
Proper SEO implementations
Original Content
Bounce Rate
Time on Site

shimmy2 10-15-2011 02:41 PM

What is happening is your losing all your long tail keywords...its happening all over the web to everyone. Those long tail keywords are going elsewhere, usually google owned properties or the big boys. Google does not want small webmasters on the net anymore and they are slowly exterminating you.
