I found this list and yes, it's a joke, but as I read into it, do you agree with some of it?

Conservative vs Liberal

* If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one.
* If a liberal doesn't like guns, he feels that no one should have one.

I agree with this, if you don't like guns, don't try to take mine away

* If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat.
* If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants to ban all meat products for everyone.

Daughter is a veggie head, but that's not what this is really about, liberal thinking usually means more laws and regulation

* If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat his enemy.
* A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good.

I think this is pretty accurate, I hate going to war, but if we have to do it, level the country

* If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
* If a liberal is homosexual, he loudly demands legislated respect.

Sounds like prop 8 to me, I was taught respect is earned, not given

* If a black man or Hispanic is conservative, they see themselves as independently successful.
* Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government protection.

I do see a lot of this, but no going to say anything

how many times has the unemployment been extended?, But I do agree that given the situation, it's needed

I try to stay out of political threads on this forum now, there are only a couple people who have the slightest clue around here, (and no, not just people I agree with, for example I disagree with a lot of what the 'thedoc' has to say, but at least he he can back-up his political opinions).

Not always the truth. I read recently that Bill Clinton carried out more military actions during his 8 years than any president since the Vietnam war.

Well, not exactly accurate. A liberal only wants legislated respect when equal rights are being take away from them. Gay people want the right to be married, but conservatives want to deny them that right. There is no way to "earn" the respect of the conservatives without taking them to court and demanding equal rights under the law.

I grew up in a small redneck town that was a lumber mill town. there were some good times and bad times. When the mills shut down and there was a lot of unemployment there were letter drives and trips to the state capital demanding that the government do something to help the families of this town. These were almost all gun carrying redneck conservatives who were pissed as they saw their way of life coming to an end and they wanted the government to help them.

Unless that talk show host is Howard Stern then the conservatives to everything they can to get him thrown off the air.

Please show me where in that letter it says anything about taking Limbaugh off the air.

There is a big difference between asking someone to condemn a remark someone else has made and asking someone to take them off the air.

That is not what the letter said or implied. They wanted him to be rebuked for making a stupid remark...which he frequently does...but I do not have any doubt that they would have been pleased to see him fired...for his remark.
