How much do you tip the pizza delivery person?
Was curious to see some feedback on this. For many years now I've generally done $2.50 - $3.50 for $20 or less (i.e. depending on if the change is more or less than 50 cents is how I determine where in that range) and more if the order is larger depending on how much. Here in sunny San Diego, the pizza places are all pretty close by (like Dominos tonight...I could fucking walk there if I wasn't lazy, lol), weather is almost always nice, and ultimately not a whole lot of work they really have to do to get their tip compared to other places I'm sure, but looking online and seeing a lot of people say 20%, wanted to see what people here said.

5 bucks or so
I put it on the business btw |
Couple dollars. Most responses in this thread will be over exaggerations in order to sound pimp.
"I tip $10!" Then you are a retard. |
an expiring domain.
if the driver is cute sometimes ill give him a Bj as a tip
a buck or 2.
3 - 5 dollars
A few dollars (2-3 depends)
Depends what the change is, generally 2-5 bucks depending on the order and where and when I am having it delivered.

I go and pick that shit up. The best pizza in the neighborhood doesn't deliver.
Usually $5, there are occasions where the delivery person is older and then I do a little more. Karma deal ......

Usually 5 to 6 bucks
on a $15 order I'll just give him a $20 and he can keep the change.
minimum of 5.00
$5-$6 for the last 7 years or so, when you tip decent the drivers fight for your order as they know you tip well so that 45-60 minutes usually turns into 20-25, first name basis with all of them, even had them stop at 7 eleven and grab me smokes a few times. If a massive order I'll go more but usually just a pizza and maybe a salad so $5-$6 is cool considering it's less than a half mile drive.
Usually I tip $4-$5, however I live right in town to, so it's not like they have to drive too far.
a couple bucks unless large order or crazy weather or something.
i don't know... $50 bucks or whatever...
Its interesting to see that people are able to TIP on average some PIZZA guy between 3 to 6 dollars... BUT they will NEVER EVER join an adult PAYSITE for 5 bucks... Very interesting...
It looks like we, adult webmasters, have ethics for some things, and don't have any at all for others... Same as SURFERS... Strange. |
I've always tipped $5.. since way back in the 80's when $5 actually bought you something. Lately, I've been thinking I need to up that a couple bucks.
I used to tip $5.00. Then they started including a "delivery fee" of $2.50, or something like that to the total for the Pizza. So now I tip $2 or 3 bucks.
I usually just round it to nearest $5, and tell him to keep the change... so he gets few bucks tip...
Depends on how quick they came and if they brought crushed red peppers with them.
$2 to $5 |

I was tipped above $10, on less than $20 worth of pies, twice in 30,000 deliveries. :) Over 50% tip.. it does happen. Shock the pizza guy. Be one in 15,000, tip 50%+ :thumbsup |
5 bucks everytime

$5 tipper is well known to all drivers. When I could come in and rip off the tag to hang up before a run, if it was dooglas (for example :)) I would be kicking that night. :thumbsup The problem is 60% do not tip zip. That is the problem with that job. Oh yeah, I knew every good tipper in our area. They literally support it all. Because the only money was in the tips for delivery guys. |
