I'm done with ccbill!!!

It's a shame that one person can be put in charge of such a valuable asset!

Paul K has threatened that my join form will be terminated if I talk about it again...

well Paul... terminate my custom form, i'm moving on. If my rebills are affected then I will sue your company...

This is what i'm talking about...

http://www.vstrippoker.com/ccbill4.JPG

and this is where the recurring is...

http://www.vstrippoker.com/ccbill5.JPG

First off... my join form has been defunct for about 2 weeks since I asked for a simple change.

Notice the hard coded text in my form?

http://www.vstrippoker.com/ccbill1.JPG

and the recurring... as Paul claims... must be above the submit!

http://www.vstrippoker.com/ccbill2.JPG

Well Paul... I also remember talking to you on the phone and you saying that I...

1) want to rip off my customers...
2) metart is another client and i have no say in that

this is my official fu to ccbill and I apologize to the affiliates that have been with me thru them...

Barefootsies 05-19-2010 11:21 AM

Damn foo. Sorry to hear that.

I know you had been trying to work things out for a couple of months now.
:(

ottopottomouse 05-19-2010 11:25 AM

Met-Art has the recurring above the submit button by having it in the drop down box or am I taking a too simplistic view of it?

SBJ 05-19-2010 11:26 AM

haha who wants to take bets if he will really move off ccbill :1orglaugh

god if you really don't like what ccbill has to offer then leave already but I'm quite happy with the service i get there :2 cents:

Cyber Fucker 05-19-2010 11:28 AM

I don't get it....

LeRoy 05-19-2010 11:31 AM

Oh man. sorry you feel that way. CCBill rocks for us.

Hope you get what you need from someone else.

Good luck

Well, he has the same thing pretty much. Instead of a drop-down box it is written in hard text.

Although no company has to give every client the same deals and offerings. Who knows what the situation with Met-Art is. My guess is they have been a client for many years and process a pretty fair volume of sales, which would most likely mean they get extra perks that newer clients with smaller volumes would not.

No.

Met-Art says
$29.99(USD) for 30 days recurring *1

vStripPoker says
$29.95(USD) for 30 days *1 <= surely that just needs recurring adding to the text and the *1 stuff can then go below the submit.

there you have it...

mention the recurring at the top and i am sure no one has a problem to move the footnote below the submit button

otherwise it looks like you want to hide the recurring - in that case i would have to agree with CCBill

Semi-Retired-Dave 05-19-2010 12:20 PM

Nice site, nice Domain.

stickyfingerz 05-19-2010 12:24 PM

Where is stuff at if you remove that google toolbar?

That would be good right? Terminate the guy who calls out bs when he sees it!

It's like this... I have 10 opportunities to go somewhere else.

Remember assholes... this is MY TRAFFIC and MY JOINS! Not ccbill

irregardless, if i smell bs, i call it, understand that?

i have a problem with paul k at ccbill, all else can chime in or just watch

IllTestYourGirls 05-19-2010 01:09 PM

but why do you have to be a asshole about calling him and ccbill out over and over? I know you've started 2 or 3 threads about this same issue and the last one I read you said you would move off ccbill to someone that will allow you to hide the rebill thing.. yet here you are again bitching and still using ccbill..

Shoplifter 05-19-2010 01:16 PM

Actually when I load Met-Art's join page the drop down is different and has the whole recurring every 30 days text right there.

I don't really get this issue... How many surfers are left who are not aware they are going to be rebilled that can somehow be fooled by this? This can't affect anyone's bottom line by more than .001% these days.

Why didn't you just get NATS and do whatever join page you want?

mmcfadden 05-19-2010 01:25 PM

if you don't understand what i'm saying i hope that in the future you will.

bc what I am talking about is 100ks worth.

It is not about hiding but just a better way of showing... shit... ccbill should hire me

Okay... why are you running hundreds of thousands of dollars through CC Bill instead of a system like NATS where you have more control and can also allow your affiliates a little security? Setting up a system like NATS allows you to change and add processors as you see fit without impacting your affiliates. If you switch out from CC Bill now, your affiliates are going to have a lot of work.

mmcfadden 05-19-2010 01:48 PM

I hope you help everyone out the way u did me!

paulk ‎(1:58 PM):
I know that the next time you post on the boards saying that your form is fucked up I will send you a link to another form, give you an hour to switch your links and deactivate your custom form. We have spent hours working with you on your form and you say that it is still messed up so I will fix it for you.
You may even see better conversions with a more normal form.

here is the rest just bc u wanted to know!

paulk ‎(1:56 PM):
Care to enlighten me?
mikemcfadden ‎(1:56 PM):
no

i agree, but I didn't think we were talking about customer appreciation

i assumed we were taking about turning off a customer from buying

(thus putting the membership description below the JOIN button as pictured in the screenshot above.)

for those of you that are missing the point here

customers don't like recurring billing, period, so when you spell it out for them it has a tendency to turn off the customer from buying

(this is due to the fact that so many customers have been burned by sponsors in the past, made it nearly impossible to cancel, cross sells, etc etc...)

many of you were not around (or maybe never noticed) but back before VISA started the crackdown like in 03 or 04, these CCBill descriptors were very customizable, some people took advantage of them i suppose some didn't

none the less after the new VISA regs came out these descriptions were no longer customizable

before, CCBill required you to put your own rebilling disclaimer on before, i suppose people abused that and didn't do it or buried it at the bottom of their join page

after the regs changed is when these very detailed descriptions became built in so to speak into the ccbill script

this changed conversion rates drastically

for example:

before the regs you could just have: "3 day trial" with no asterisk and no "then 29.95 every 30 days" description etc etc

all you had to have was a disclaimer somewhere on your join page that said something like: "All trial memberships will rebill at 29.95 every 30 days"

and you could put this in very small font, basically anywhere

lazycash 05-19-2010 01:59 PM

So which new processor is going to be the lucky one to get your 5 sales a month?

Semi-Retired-Dave 05-19-2010 02:00 PM

Good luck with this. I'm sure they will straighten it out.
